I know on steam it shows I have 76 hours in the game, but I have hundreds more on the Epic Store version (got it free from there, and got the steam version because at one point crossplay didn't work well between clients).

Midnight Ghost Hunt is a prop hunt style game where you play as a Ghost or a Hunter. The ghosts can jump into any item on the map and take control, with some props (like taking over a dinosaur head) gives you an extra ability. Hunters have until the clock hits midnight, and when that happens all ghosts that were dead will respawn and the hunters will become the hunted. And this game replaced the annoying *whistle* mechanic with the new ectoplasm mechanic (If you stay still too long you will start glowing for the hunters. You have to move or taunt to reduce the buildup).

As of right now the game should be considered dead. At most in a day there may be 7 people online.

I want to clarify that I absolutely loved this game, the prop hunt genre is just too good of a game mode and I was glad there is a dedicated standalone game to play it with. Besides a few issues this game was amazing when it first came out. If you plan on getting this game, make sure you already have friends to make a lobby with, as you will probably be queueing for a good hour before finding a random. But for those who aren't sure if they should get it I will break it down.

Pros:
-Great gameplay loop
-Item diversity
-playing gameboy in van
-Not really monetized, every cosmetic can be earned from playing
-Spectators can still interact with players
-Maps all feel different and are well designed
-Lots of meme ways to kill each other
-Poltergeist
-You have the ability to project your in-game voice in any direction you want (Really fun)
-The game is mostly balanced

Cons:
-Dead Servers
-Game skews towards hunters to win
-Updates aren't regular anymore except for some bug fixes
-Most randoms don't use in game voice
-For the few players left they are some tryhards

This game could easily make a comeback. Release a big update, revamp some of the system, advertise and players will come crawling back I gurantee it. I really want to believe in that.

As for now, if you want to know if this game is worth it, get it if you have friends who want to play it. Otherwise, wishlist it and pray they update this game.

When Midnight Ghost Hunt makes a comeback, I will fully recommend this game!

Pretty fun but overall too many hackers without prime enabled
