This game practically doesn't even deserve to be called a Battlefield game at this point. So much good content from previous BF titles has been removed from this game, and what's left is a buggy, broken mess anyways. Specialists introduce massive balance issues (aside from also looking and acting as if they're 10 year olds in what's supposed to be a gritty, realistic setting) in comparison with the traditional 4-class system that has worked for years. Maps are barren, with little to no cover, meaning that infantry gets destroyed by vehicles constantly (while making the 10km hike from objective to objective). Weapons feel floaty and unresponsive (if you can even connect shots due to the ridiculous bloom), as well as there only being 22(!!!) of them at release??
Portal is slightly better, but it's hampered by the limited maps and by XP progression being turned off due to bot farming servers popping up everywhere (which DICE specifically said they have methods of combatting - turning off XP isn't a "solution", DICE). There's very little incentive to play Portal aside from the graphics upgrades (for 1942, for instwnce) if you can just go back and play the older games and be treated to much more content.

DICE have really lost their way with this one, even if all of the bugs are fixed there is just way too many core Battlefield concepts that are butchered by this game. If you like the Battlefield series at all, I would urge you to stay away from this title, DICE/EA don't deserve your money for this mess.

After playing the game following the first patch, it's evident that the bugs in the game can be fixed but the design decisions that created this game cannot.

CS:GO Review
After investing some time into this game I must say that the mechanics in it are some of the most decievingly complex that I've ever played. Although the maps/weapon selection could be regarded as simplistic, it is this simplicity itself which makes this game a great joy to play and learn.

The netcode could do with some work though.
