I feel like this title owes me money for the 48 minutes that I wasted realizing the return was inevitable, and for the additional 11 minutes I have spent writing this review. As a professional writer, this is unpaid work and courtesy - neither of which Microsoft deserve.

-Game required Micosoft accnt verification- during the 2 hr runtime. Absolutely no reason for that to occur during a session aside from to pad time and remove return capability.
-Game informed me that hardware detection suggested Ultra settings... but then needed time during 2 hour runtime to optimize and adjust settings.... that it recommended.
-Game refused to recognize input device (wheel.) Once finally recognized, game required me to program entire schematic. Once programmed and saved.... brake pedal wouldn't break, but would open up menus instead. Even though those menus were assigned to another button.

This is the quality I would expect from a cheap knockoff mobile game, not for a premium price AAA title. If I had interest in dealing with these kinds of issues, I could do so without the $60 price tag. Check my time in titles, I have multiple 4-digit hours games. Check my $$ spent on titles... I mean, I play World of Warships and Genshin Impact so you know I'm not adverse to money on a product. I am however adverse to money on a poorly scripted and implements console-to-PC port which had far too little QA applied in the desire to turn out a product for a cash grad to an additional audience. Refund inbound.

Do yourself a favor and ignore any negative views coming out on launch day.

This game is so incredible, so much fun, that it simply blew up on release twenty times larger than expected, and initial servers couldn't handle the response.

Downvotes are PS4 players who got something FOR FREE, didn't know about it before hand, and are now complaining the game they didn't support that they want to play FOR FREE didn't have enough server availability.

This game is one of the most fun, tightest developed games I've seen in a long time. You'll be glad you bought it.

If you are a fan of 90's era brawlers, or the original property, or Synthwave/Retrowave, then this is the game for you. This is a love letter to the original franchise, with nicely modernized graphics. The illustrated style is a perfect balance between not-modern hi def and not-classic 16 bit. So happy to have this game.

An excellent Rogue-like with great sprites, deep gameplay, and a solid score and story. Twitch integration makes it fun for broadcaster and audience during streams. I definitely reccommend.

Unfortunately, this game id not worth your time.

There's no excuse for the game file being as large as it is, nor for a 3.3 GB update the first week. Allow me to give you a rundown of the 106 minuttes of gameplay I have: over 80 minutes of loading the game and establishing files (and I have a *good* computer, I stream for a living), about 20 minutes of starter quests, killed by PC while within eyeshot of starting factino house. Respawn, killed by PC again.

It's possible that I might like the game if i played it *enough*- it's pretty, ARK's mechanics are nicely improved upon, character models are improved- but due to the game being insanely long to load, I have only 20 mionutes to go on, and those 20 minutes suggest unless you pay for a private server to play your game (since there is no multiplayer option that is not a dedicated server) the community is just going to make the game unplayable.

Brutal but fun survial gaming.

Subsistence is some serious hardcore survival. Tracking hunger, protein, hydration and fruits/vegs is in depth without being complex. The AIs are tactical and challenging. You will freeze at night if you're not prepared. Scavenge but avoiding fights when possible, rather than charging in guns blazing. And that's just the early stage.

Midstage is base building and defending yourself against AI hunters, using an awesome building system. Endstage is farming and harvesting, while fending off teams of armed hunter AIs. This game will challenge you!

This is a game I want to enjoy, but literally half of my hours logged are in loading screens and waiting. My system runs everything else at 80-110 fps, and this is so unoptimized I need to run it at the low-memory settings just to hit 30.

Dear developers, when you need a full drop-down window of settings to launch your game, you're doing it wrong.

Game looks great (when it runs), and has plenty of content, and plenty of players to engage with... but so do a lot of other games on the market that actually function.

And that's before we discuss the slap in the face of a $20 DLC for a game still listing itself as "Early Acess."
