The Volhynian Massacre (1943–1945) was an anti-Polish ethnic cleansing of genocide perpetrated by Ukrainians with the participation of the local Ukrainian population. Ukrainians murdered 150,000 Poles using brutal methods such as burning alive, torture, tearing bodies with axes and pitchforks, and rape, sparing neither women nor children.
