Great game that's slowly gone downhill since free to play. It was still great back then but now it's just an increasingly worse and unbearable experience every season. There are so many days when almost every match you go into is just filled with toxicity or absolute brainrot, the new chat censorship sucks ass, and somehow the game has even less content than years ago??? (trading removed, snow day/dropshot no longer being permanent playlists, to name some things gone...). Shockingly, game runs worse than it has years ago as well. ♥♥♥♥ is literally just freezing randomly whenever it wants to, you could have a crazy PC and you're still gonna probably see frame drops or random freezes for absolutely no reason, it's actually depressing.

Also don't even get started on the ranked situation. You're peaking and still losing games? Yeah sorry, that's your fault clearly, should have carried harder. This is especially fun when you're close to SSL and your teammate decides to do ♥♥♥♥ all and still have the audacity to blame you while flopping like a fish in net. The higher ranked you get the more inflated their egos get and the more they deflect and cry about everything. Average ranked experience amirite. You're having a rough day? Don't even bother queuing, save yourself the disappointment. And god forbid you run into a guy ddosing with whatever new method they come up with. Bots? While rare, there are still people using them. Enjoyable games where everyone is playing solid, no one is acting like a crybaby, and there isn't anything fishy going on like smurfing, boosting or straight up cheating are very few and far between. What about every other game mode that isn't 2s, you may ask? Depending on when you play - dead, long boring queues, or just bad and unfair matchmaking.

I could keep going. As fun as this game can be (because the gameplay part itself is actually unique and quite fun), with the amount of negatives I can think of, I genuinely can't possibly recommend this game to anyone. Not right now at least. I would not be surprised if the game just died eventually though. Unless you're looking to screw around and have fun with friends for the most part, you're better off spending your time doing or playing a million other things.
