For reference I Have about 14,000 Hours played.

The Good

  • The exploration! this game is endless when it comes to walking around and finding new places and things!
  • Combat! it may have its flaws over all the new combat system introduced in 2013 has had lots of improvements to make it interact with the fun and challenging bosses offered thru out the game,
  • The community is on the bottom of my good list as if you may have very changing interactions with people. Youll meet and make friends thru out the world and eventually find yourself in a clan with hundreds of similar play style players. You will also unfortunately meet elitists and hater osrs players (I play both games most osrs players are fine!) along the way but in the end i do enjoy the runescape community as a whole
The Bad

  • communication from the devs is amazing! how ever they tend to over promise on release dates (ie. Mobile, new boss, bank rework). The updates are all amazing in the end but they are notorious for delaying updates to polish them and in the end they work out.
  • MTX or micro transactions. They are not overpowered like in other games but it just feels like your hours put into the game feel like less when people can pay to get XP (an absurd amount of money for little xp for reference it costs about 14k USD while spending on the best promos available to max an account)
  • Levels 30-70 in most skills need to be fixed they are all horribly outdated. this section of the game for most players will be pretty short how ever expect to spend about 15hours on average to get to lvl 70ish in each skill. so you may not have to spend much time in that level bracket but its still the turning point for most players if they are going to do end game content around 70-80 in skills so it really needs to improved to keep the new player playing.

All in all i love the game played it for 16 years now and i dont regret any of it. Its worth the shot if you love mmo's as there is no mmo quite like runescape. its not for everybody but the people who get into it will have a hard time to fully stop playing
