I got a free code for this game, so I figured I might as well try it out, right? After a quick opening cutscene establishing the most cliched of plotlines, I'm off to save my cave-girlfriend. I quickly noticed that I could achieve optimal results by just pressing right and occasionally responding to what's on the screen. For an ostensibly NES-inspired game, the difficulty seems to have been missed. When the difficulty finally did kick up, it was for frustrating and uncontrollable reasons, like awkward jumping controls, enemies that move too fast for a reaction (forcing trial and error gameplay), and unresponsive attacks. The sound was good, and the visuals were kind of nice, but that's it. Not recommended.
