I was a normal boy with an unexceptional upbringing, save for the tainted dreams that my parents insisted I never share with anyone. Whenever friend or family was close to dying I would learn about it in a dream days before. On my 30th birthday my uncle, a churchyard tender by trade told us he had always sensed something long dead and forbidden underneath our home. We excavated and found it, a decaying deity that had poisoned the minds of my family for decades.
