This game is fun, but there are no official servers.

so the gameplay adjustements in the game vary far from server to server which is not fun.
the Map pools are also restricted by the server owners so you can almost never get the full experience of the game.
On top of this many of these inofficial privately run servers use mods and or custom maps, which autodownloads huge chunks of data on your computer and clogs your disc space.
These things also come from obscure sources so you can never know what it is youre downloading.

on top of it the game is almost dead.

This game has HUGE connectivity issues and smooth gameplay is rarely achieved.

There are also very few players remaining and you can be glad if even one server fills up to a decent amount.

Also the game is still riddled with bugs that render parts of the game unuseable.

I WANT MY MONEY PAID BACK IN FULL!

Don't buy this game,
Could be a very fun game however it just crashes in the middle of the game and you have to be super lucky to even be able to join a server. also theres no official servers.

A tooltip keeps telling me to "try d3c9" or something cryptic like that when crashing.
i want my money back :(

Das Spiel ist wirklich nicht zu empfehlen!

Die Rätsel sind langweilig und wiederholen sich ständig, das Kampfsystem genauso.
Der Ton also alles was gesprochen wird ist auf Englisch, es gibt zwar Untertitel die man einschalten kann aber die Übersetzung ist auch grottenschlecht. z.B.: wird in den Optionen zur Steuerung angegeben mit A+D könne man "Bombardieren"

Das schlimmste ist aber dass manchmal eine Cutszene oder ein Kampf einfach nicht geladen wird, lädt man dann neu ist das Problem eigentlich behoben aber man kann nicht zurückgehen und die Kämpfe/Sequenzen die man auf die Art verpasst hat erneut triggern, die muss man sich halt dann nachträglich in Youtube Videos anschauen.

Das Spiel ist daher absolut keine Kaufempfehlung!

The game itself is actually fun but is also very very grindy

My main Problem with it is that there are no official servers, so anytime you want to play the game youre at the mercy of the clan that is hosting the server you are playing on and effectively investing endless hours of work.

I've actually had my monuments and sometimes whole bases just removed by server admins so they could spawn in castles at that place without any warning/notice/compensation.
For this reason you should absolutely avoid this game!

This game is pretty cool, but you need alot of patience to play it. and by that i mean that it will crash
-when opening the game
-when starting a new game
-when loading an old game
-when tinkering with options
-when switching characters
-when initiating in dialogue
-when engaging in combat
-when checking inventory
-when saving the game
-when exiting the game

this game will crash even when it isn't opened atm

its very unfinished and the devs want to release the full version in a few months soo
it is an alright game and worth a try, just make sure you don't pay anyhing more than 5bucks for it!!!

Great game, really but if you dont pay 15€ (EACH MONTH!!!!) it is impossible to enjoy.
but the game itself just isnt worth the money they ask from you (thats 180€/year) no game is worth that much money, also the 6 month sub for 11,25 is still overpriced.

conclusion: only try this if you're a millionaire or have nothing else in life to spend your money on.

YEARS after the DEVS promised it there is still NO GORE SWITCH, meaning at any point in time you will have to look at humanoid enemies being cut in half or otherwise brutaly dismembered.
Disgusting.
the police should host investigations against the studio since there are clearly some mentally ill individuals working there who gain pleasure from these disgusting showcases of extreme gore.
for some reason this game has become unplayable, the client does not even register my mouse and it seems is only inclined for console controller like commands

apart from that, here is my old review

the game itself is pretty cool, however it has a whole bunch of problems.

I had to stop playing the game because of the excessive gore that cannot be switched off. Maybe the police should look into the basements of the developers because this outrageous brutality hints at something sinnister.

the first one, which bothers me the most is the fact that there is no gore switch, you can switch nudity on and off as you like but the developers absoluteley insist you watch the humanoid enemies be cut in half or mutilated in any other disgusting way that funcom could come up with.

On the PVP multiplayer servers you have no business playing alone because a bigger clan will just raid you to shreds
-there is even a way for people to glitch under the map and destroy your base without you ever seeing them-
On the PVE or PVE-Conflict servers the same huge clans build super big structure that make gameplay a laggy hell

On top of that it is possible for players to wall in / off certain vital ressources as well as the fast travel obelisks
I've even seen players spreading foundations around a place on PVE servers and then sell it as 'real estate'

Now you cannot play the game in single player because most of the gameplay processes like enslaving someone, raising a pet and also crafting are time based and can very well take multiple hours. so on a server you could just put a baby animal into the pen and then pick up your pet the next day, but in single player mode you will have to play for 8 hours or keep the game running before you can pick up your pet, there is also no simple or intuitive way of tweaking the game to make it finish in say 1 hour, you have to access the game files for this.

as usual for imitations of ark there is no terraforming and the snapping of the building parts works terrible - you absoluteley have to start out from a single cell there is absoluteley no way to make two different buldings snap together

In conclusion - despite being just another run of the mill survival game like any other conan exiles does have an awesome outlandsh twist to it. too bad that the intense grind and the aforementioned problems ruin the fun enitrely!

And i am very serious about the gore, it is sickening, i think the police should look into the developers basements....

This game used to be AWESOME!
but then they "improved" so many things, making it impossible to play it anymore.
first the small wood spikes which would make alot of damage but break really fast they made it so one of those would cost 100 wood, which is insane now they changed it to 15 but you only get 100 wood out of a whole tree, they made mining super ♥♥♥♥♥♥ so now you have to walk through different biomes and dig in a random spot and if youre SUPER LUCKY you MAYBE find a vein which yields just not enough fo that kinda effort. they made the skill system into a weird obscure scheme that now (instead of offering great perks for a player) makes the game only harder. and you cannot craft 600q stuff anymore you have to craft about 8 500q things and combine them. Of course it is more challenging now, for sure but in the wrong way. The way it is now the game is just Grinding and no more Fun.

It's a shame this game was a 10/10 but now it's just boring, repetitive and plain annoying
