Still probably the most interesting roguelite, and potentially the best. Insane amounts of variety and interesting items.

After a lot more time, this is one of my favourite shooters in years! It is so much fun whether solo or in a party. Randoms are actually not too bad most of the time. The Marathon raid is a lot of fun too. Overall the gameplay loop and all the mechanics perfectly fit what the game is going for.

The worldbuilding and lore is top notch too.

One of the top games of 2025, and a huge improvement over Hollow Knight! As someone who thought Hollow Knight was good, albeit slightly too easy, Silksong is a huge improvement in every way. From difficulty to gameplay to player agency, everything is a massive step up to create a larger, more intersting game that is deserving of GOTY.

An impressive achievement, they seem to have achieved everything they set out to make! Not perfect, but with updates it will only get better and better. The best paradox game easily in my opinion. an easy recommend!

An incredible game that is a huge improvement over the first, in every way.

One of the best metroidvania games I've played. Combat is surprisingly deep (do the combat tutorials!) and enjoyable, and exploration/movement is very solid. Highly recommended!

Awful performance, overly streamlined and too much story. I can see this game being great with a few good updates and a DLC, but until then I can't be bothered.

Rolled credits for the first time, so I know I'm only just getting started, but so far I'm loving it! I have two pages of notes and many screenshots, it's very rare for a game to cause me to do that. I understand the complaints about RNG, but personally I don't really agree with them. Excellent game and a strong frontrunner for my GOTY.
