This is a fun game just to mess around in for a few hours. I would recommend buying it on sale because for the full price im not entirely sure if its worth it, but for cheap I'd say its worth what you pay for. Good combat, good gore, decent level design, and great soundtrack. Modding is okay, but gets old quickly

This is definetly a quality game and it is amazing that you are able to get this game for free. The story did not always engage me like I was hoping and got a little jumpy at some points but generally told you what you needed to know with nice little extra details.
The art style is amazing to look at and reminds me of games like Firewatch and Life is Strange. speaking of those games, if you like those two games or games such as Gone Home, I can almost guarentee you'll love Marie's Room as well. I thought the length was perfect.
The average completion length is probably around 45 minutes but I doubled that just to take in the music and surrounding and take a few screenshots. The ending was in a way a twist ending but if I say any more i'll spoil it.

Overall I really enjoyed it for what it was and would recommend downloading it and saving it for a rainy day. I'd give it an 8.5/10 for all of the aforementioned reasons.

This so far has been a great game to play. Most of the mechanics such as shooting, using certain equipment, movement, and general gameplay are very good. At times things like the mining and use of some equipment can feel a little clunky and annoying but usualy works as intended. I dont mind this at all though because the game quite literally just went into early access so i am not worried. In the first hour I felt a bit overwhelmed by all of the equipment and objectives due to the intentional lack of guidance but after I sat down and read a couple of things I feel fairly confident about my understanding of the game. The "menu" if you can even call it that is basically a small hub where you can walk around and shop with friends or other players and feels very interactive and involved even if you really arent doing anything. Even though technically you can just walk away from your computer, sometimes it feels like there is no real break in between matches especially if the others you are playing with start a mission but I have not run into any issues with trolls that do this. The servers have been amazing for me so far and the load times are great. I have yet to find one immature player and the player base seems to mainly be made up of cool and mature dudes.

Things I think should be implemented:
-More help for new players besides the tutorial such as pop ups in the actual game
-some sort of drop pod calling confirmation because it is very frustrating when you are barelt halfway througha level and a new player immediately calls the pod
-A bit more optimization, fix a few glitches, and maybe refine the movement a little (this is an early access game so all of these things are expected though)

Although it is a co-op game, there is also the solo option. You are partnered with a small robot friend who can help out a small bit but do not receive much other assistance. You seem to be at a major disadvantage playing solo andirons seems you need at least 2 people to have a somewhat effective team. Though I’m sure you could make it work, I would recommend staying away from solo if you can for now.

Overall it is a very simple and relaxing game at the slower parts and a hectic and intense game during swarms and extractions. The more and more I play though I relaize the game probably isnt for everyone though

This game is good, but not great. The main thing its got going for it is the gunplay. Was honestly hoping for a bit of a scarier game, but the sounds around you and atmosphere do give some sense of dread even if it usually doesnt lead to much. Story is a bit predictable and dry but the gameplay makes up for it. Personally I olny played the main story and a couple of the bonus chapters and was not able to get a lot of gameplay out of it. Max play time is likely around 20-25 hours if you do everything the game has to offer.

Solid improvement upon the last game and not nearly as dependent upon micro transactions as everyone is making it sound. Combat and nemesis system are strongest aspects of the game. Absolute max play time you’ll likely get us about 60 hours due to the fact that the game get a bit repetitive after a while. Overall I would say wait for a sale because in my opinion the game is worth more around $40/45

This is a weird review to write because the game has changed so much. If you really want to know whether you like Rust or not, you need to put in around 50-100 which also is a little strange. This is definetly a game you are going to love or hate though. Its rare to see a middle ground. Its an unforgiving, harsh on new players game.
