Just give it some time. There's more here than you realize, and it's worth it. Don't spoil it for yourself. If you hear something while playing, that should trigger your curiosity.

If this game had been released ten years ago, it would be considered the finest RPG of all time. Seriously. It's phenomenal.

This is a game which takes everything that can possibly be offered by the JRPG form and executes perfectly.

The gameplay is very fun, the world is fascinating, and the systems are simple, but complex enough to hold your attention for the length of the game, which is supposed to be around 35 hours.

The story is so interesting that it seems reasonable to expect a film adaptation some time soon.

This is my favorite Final Fantasy game. Great systems, great minigame, and great art. Story isn't great, but I thought it was ok back when I first played it on PSX. b

If you love baseball, this is THE baseball game. There's nothing else that can even approach the degree of depth that this simulation has. This is one of the all-time great sports franchises.

If it looks intimidating, I promise that learning the game has been worth the effort. Every hardcore baseball fan can find something to love here.

Love this game. Took me far too long to sit down and learn it.

Great loop, nice art, slot-machine levels of dopamine pumping into your brain.

I've only finished my first mission, and the game seems very fun, but I'm a little disappointed by the graphics. The visuals are a bit fuzzy, and the textures are not great when you're looking at things close up.

Possibly it's a bug. I'll revisit in a week or so; if things change, I'll note it.

Otherwise, the game seems fun. Frenetic action, ostensibly tons of customization, and cool physics effects to illustrate the damage.

Edit:
Forget about the graphics. Remember Chromehounds? This implements a similar persistent massively-multiplayer war. It's very cool.

Second Edit:
Game is borked right now. The devs never expected this level of popularity. Until they fix things, the game is almost unplayable.

This is the game that I desperately wanted.

Victoria 2 was fun, and I played lots of it, but it was incomprehensible.
This game is amazing.

It's the best Civ yet. Feature complete, with some new stuff that didn't exist in V.

First time playing the franchise. The graphics are great, and the game runs very well on an RTX3080, which can't be said for every AA or AAA franchise these days.

Content feels complete, controls are tight, no bugs, and very engaging gameplay that rewards creativity.

If you like games that force you to use intelligence and strategy to succeed, then this is for you. Unless you aren't into shooting people, I guess. But then, there's always a can of spaghettios.
