Considering there have been massive company made sport games for generations and this game is so much more fun and nuanced than all of them is insane. Used to think Rocket League was the closest we'd ever get to the feeling of playing IRL sports but this requires so much more faith and consistent teamwork than RL ever could. Are there issues? OMG Yes, but is there anything even remotely close to replicating that feeling? No! Then when you factor in the amount of expression the game's sandbox offers it stands so clearly above/different than most of what's out there. I think I play a lot of stuff and this game has more potential than any game I can think of.
