Telltale style games have always had the hampering of how good their storytelling is. This game gets around a significant number of detractors. The actual gameplay is fun enough that I'd pay money for an endless mode of just dispatching. I wouldn't say its GOTY material, but definitely worth full price material

The demo is rough around the edges but shows a lot of promise, It's a lot more like a pre-alpha preview than a demo but the dev is really good with scene writing and cinematography. Hopefully they can fix the bugs and get it really polished in time.

SC2 is unlike most games released these days, and is an actual return to form, the days of glory, when games weren't overly bloated with content farms requiring you to find all 5 trillion ork teef scattered willy nilly in an open world survival crafting game with rinse-repeat gameplay. Space Marine 2 knows what it is, and what it isn't. It's a game about shooting aliens and kicking ass because you're all out of gum. It takes no liberties with the universe, no shoehorned in themes that clash with the whole point of the game, it exists as it wants and as ait should.

While I'm sure the large proportion of people who enjoy this game love it, it has core loops that I just hate. I hate how imbalanced the game feels, which can be really difficult for asymmetrical games to achieve, but at the core the loop is just not fun. Dodge someone who you can't realistically run away from, and play a little minigame with QTEs. Inversely playing a monster is equally un-fun, chasing doesn't feel satisfying, and a large portion of the game relies on good sportsmanship, which - lets face it - almost never exists in competitive games. The average game that fails in my opinion usually just needs tweaks here and there, but Dead by Daylight is one of those games that at the core is just awful, and there's no fixing that without just throwing away the whole game.

Per Aspera manages to package what a lot of city builders lack into a very special game. There's always a new issue to deal with when progressing in the game, and without going into spoilers, the trials and challenges manage to keep you on your feet for almost the entirety of the game. The only time I achieved critical mass, which is usually the point at which a player has won in all but name for a strategy or city building game, is roughly a few minutes before I actually beat the game, which meant to me that the game was incredibly well paced out. I highly recommend a try to people who enjoy strategy, resource management, and city building.

I have to say this is one of double fine's better works. the 70's/80's synth vibe to this rougelike is pretty 'rad' (heh). and while the maps themselves are not as randomly generated as one might think, it takes a few hours to start to understand the map layouts in order to fully comprehend it and be able to have a gist of what your map is from the get-go. the difficulty curve is on the 'challenging' side of things, and scales up pretty quickly. I've managed to defeat the boss of 1-2 only a handful of times, but it's a game that I consistently find myself picking back up for a quick burst of action. This is definitely the kind of game you sit down to play if you're looking for a quick 30 minute run unless you're getting really far, and even then you can save your progress, which is nice compared to older progenitors that i more consistently play, such as The Binding of Isaac. The game takes itself seriously in the same way Leslie Nielson took the Naked Gun movies seriously, and Double Fine has gotten good at that kind of comedy. 9/10 would die to Feculord again

Mechanics wise it's dated but not aged. Story ♥♥♥♥♥♥ me up, a very controversial story that I'd recommend to anyone looking at sociopolitical events.

Ya like ninjas? Ya like puzzles? Ya like being stealthy and slowly culling an entire castle? Ya like stories with good plot and a fulfilling kill? This game is for you. This game is full of moments that make you feel hella smart.

CS:GO Review
The biggest thing that affects most mutliplayer games is the community. The game itself can be solid, but can easily slide into a mess of frustration and unspoken community rules that can be more than toxic to a player's experience. I basically play this game for AI matches now.
