One of the weirdest games I have played but also one of the most fun in recent times. The different skills you can buy are quite 'unique' and add a different level to the absurdity of the game.

Tldr - Solid pvp fps with a great campaign. 9/10

Titanfall 2 was always recommended to me as a solid fps in a landscape where they have become few and far between. But the fact that I would have to move from Steam to play it always held me back and paired with a dying player base I never bothered trying it out. However, finally playing it on Steam has shown me that all those previous recommendations were in fact correct. Titanfall 2 is indeed a quite solid fps with decent balance between its various weaponry, be it, its various small arms or the Titans you can pilot. The only time I find myself getting steamrolled is when I match up against players that have a significant level advantage, which is indicative of them having more play time than me. Honestly for multiplayer that would be my only critique, teams should have better skill matching, other than that though I have thoroughly enjoyed my time so far. The fast movement of players paired with the slower movement of the Titans is also fun to switch between. While in a Titan you never truly feel all powerful though, a skilled player can easily damage you whether or not they are on the ground or piloting their own Titan and you can just as easily swat players that are out on the ground as if they are flys. It's quite fun and I can't say I have played too many other games that have the same feel as this does.

For people looking to find a solid campaign this game also offers it. While relatively short, the single player has solid gameplay that builds up skills that can be used for multiplayer. The story is pretty good but nothing that is really mind blowing, there are sections of it that changes things up and breaks up the monotony that many fps campaigns usually suffer from. Such as the time rift sections and various platforming.Due to the fast pacing the game never gets stale, you're always working towards something and are always given a reason as to why. The dialogue between the player and your Titan companion is generally well done and often fun to listen to, by the end of the game I felt a real connection to BT and became attached to him. The scenery that accompanies the different areas is also quite nice, with lush jungles and awe inspiring factories that make you feel as if you are but an insect; it always keeps things new. Considering the game came out almost 4 years ago it holds it own quite well in the graphics department as well. For an era of fps games deciding to get rid of their campaigns Titanfall 2 did theirs quite well and I hope we eventually get a continuation of the story.

Overall the game is a definite recommendation to anyone that enjoys fast paced fps games. With the resurgence of the player base on steam I hope the game continues to have a healthy population. It's just too bad that a third game was never made, maybe sometime in the future. I'm glad companies are finally starting to move back to Steam and hopefully it continues into the future as well.

A great continuation of the first entry in the series, I played it more before it moved to steam but I can say that this new season is just as good as previous. While it can be expensive paying for new expansions it's usually worth it. Definitely better with friends!

One of, if not the best open world experiences I have had. If you like being dropped into a world with near limitless options and go from being a frail hobo to the worlds most skilled fighter then this is the game you are looking for.
