This is not an mmorpg, this is a farming simulator. All the game wants is to waste as much of your time as possible on totally unnecessary things. If you like grinding or farming this game is for you, but other than that it has no value.

Everyone knows Skyrim is the best game ever made.

AMAZING

This game might be good to play occasionally for a few minutes at best, if you aren't trying to accomplish any progress.

But if you are trying to make progress better be prepared to be dissapointed.
Most (All) Official PvP servers are ruled by hostile Alpha tribes, that will always tell you:
"You are not welcome on this server, go away or get wiped"
"This server is overpopulated, we do not allow new players to join. You are not welcome here."
"This server is chinese only, if you don't have an invitation leave our server now."

Please note these are all official servers, this is the game you bought.
And that was the case on any server I have been on so far.

No matter what you build and where you hide, they will eventually find and wipe you with no effort whatsoever. As you have nothing to defend yourself with against alpha tribes. Even if you build auto turrets and a 4 wall layered base, they simply come with a quetzal and a turtle to take aggro and soak up the bullets and destroy it in matter of seconds. Where you can only stand there and watch them do it.

The game is greatly imbalanced towards new players. And alpha tribes gain more and more strength with each patch, and new players have nothing to defend themselves with. Now Tek tier came, and who do you think is going to profit from it, new players or alpha tribes?

Its a shame that you will pay money for a game, where other people won't even let you play. Its just like throwing money out of a window as even though you buy the game you wont be able to play it.

Now we come to PvE servers. If you try to avoid being wiped by playing in a PvE server, you will be dissapointed again. The PvE servers are filled with trash and ruins. No matter where you go its just filled with debris. But not only that, in PvE players intentionally block spawns of various resources where due to being unable to destroy those structures, you won't be able to do anything against it, as there are no admins to clear those places up.

Overall I give 10/10 for the base gameplay itself. And 0/10 for playability.
Maybe if you can buy your own server or enjoy playing single player then this game might be for you.

But otherwise I do not recommend buying it untill wildcard decides to balance the game, and make new players able to defend themselves somehow.

Edit: Now years later, the game is still as bad as it always was. 5 days of hiding and trying to play, 5 days of getting wiped. I give up. I wish I could get my money back. Why did I pay for a game that doesn't allow me to play.
