top contender for most satisfying frag grenade in a game award

probably one of the best, if not THE best roguelite shooter you can buy with money at this time. like gunfire reborn but with guns and actual gameplay.

Lack of feedback on weapons, non-functional settings menu, cash shop with ACTUAL GEAR inside (not just cosmetics), slippery and frictionless movement, unskippable forced tutorial, laughably bad production value on missions and voice acting, AI-generated assets, the list goes on. Hawken Stillborn is an attempt to make a quick buck off of diehard fans of a niche mech shooter from a decade ago, with no real soul or passion to be found anywhere in the project.

Let it stay dead.

Hakita and the rest of his development team appear to be more concerned with appealing to discord meme channels than actually making a tight and cohesive experience. It's very disheartening for me to have to give this game a negative review, as Act 1 was one of the best single player FPS experiences I've ever played. However, Hakita and company have failed to capitalize and build upon the rock solid foundation of the first 1/3 of the game, and instead add useless gimmicky garbage and easter eggs that will age poorly and become painfully outdated in less than a year. Unless serious changes are made further into the development cycle, I cannot in good faith recommend this game unless purchased at a discount.
