I have no idea how but everything just clicked near instantly when I played this game. I just do my first instinct and it usually works out.

In this game you should know as little as posible, and with the internet, it is no easy feat. The game as a whole is mostly goofy with the interactions with monsters and the objects in the underground. The other side can be more emotinal especially if you kill every monster. DO NOT KILL EVERY SINGLE MONSTER, MAKE SURE YOU SPARE AT LEAST ONE MONSTER. otherwise your game won't be the same, but aside from that it is a solid expirience seeing what the game has to offer, as long as you don't commit a killing spree.
