For the price you pay you'll probably get your monies worth, but long term there's not really much there right now other than resetting yourself back to 0 every two months. After your benches are done you're just farming for blueprints so you can... lose them for more stash space? Which a lot of the weapons right now aren't worth using mind with how quick the TTK is. There needs to be better long term progression systems, I thought quests would add something to that but after finishing all of them I felt I wasted my time.

The game is pretty shallow currently in terms of progression and really needs to add some more systems.

Early Access Review
Pretty fun, the story has nothing to do with Blazblue but playing the characters feels really nice.

It's fun, shooting dinos with friends is fun. It feels tense. It's like Gambit from Destiny 2 which I loved so much.

Maybe try it on gamepass first.

Normally me and my friends only like 3 games per pack, but this one actually has a full set of really good and fun games.

Biggest improvement is removed the Fibbage about you final rounds.

PSO2 NGS is a great example of why launching a game early is a really bad idea. 28 of my friends have played this game before, and out of those only one who is still playing. That one being someone who spent a lot of time in PSO2 base, everyone else who came to try it left after a few hours.

The gameplay loop is just boring, there is very little variety in the content to do. Half of it is dailies, of just going to the open world and killing enemies. Maybe doing some rare giant enemy spawns. Optimising your damage when smacking that meat wall is kinda fun though.

The other half is doing urgent quests which spawn every 2 hours or so. Two of these are giant bosses, nothing to write home about, and the other right now is base defence. I might be missing a new kind of content released recently but at least that's what I can recall.

Now there are a good amount of classes to try, and the newer ones they've added feel pretty funky in a good way. They're fun, but without being able to get new skills like before, they feel very limited in places. This will be fixed later when they add them, but why they launched so barebones on them brings me to my next point.

100% this game was released in such a barebones state because of those gacha like cosmetic sales. Until a week ago with no shop pass, the only way to get most cosmetics for free was buying them from the player market. Now you can only sell on it with either a shop pass or premium, and until that week ago there was no shop pass, meaning you had to grind in game money through the games own systems. Which was really limited for the longest time until they increased weekly gains. This meant if you wanted more than a couple items from the limited time scratch ticket, you needed to either grind your ass off or just fork over the real money, do some rolls/sell some items on the market. They have fixed this in a few ways, and prices are a little better now due to increased weekly gains, dealing with bots, and the inclusion of said shop pass in the new mission pass.

On the bright side, the combat while limited is very fun. Could be better, but the base stuff does feel good to execute.

You can also play some pretty good dress up, and if you want to play a type1/male character, your outfits are dirty cheap and you have the pick of the land.

Might be worth going through the leveling and playing a bit after, but not much after that. Worth waiting on more promised updates before investing more into.

For the singleplayer alone, the original 3 + ODST are worth it alone, Reach is also some fun and some people like 4's.

For MP, with crossplay added now, should always be able to find a game and are still great fun. Get a few friends and it can be a blast.
