This is so poorly optimized you cant get nearly stable 30 fps in the game on a Steamdeck or similar performing system. I really dont know why this is marketed as playable on SteamDeck, If it were just the small text i'd had zero issue with the game but you cant even properly play it. You get noticable lag on movement, severe fps drops in cutscenes and crowded spaces and on top you cant even see what youre shooting because you have to decrease the resolution scale so much it turns into pixel mush. The stupid AI frame generators are worthless on this game too don't even try. The only way to get this running comfortably on a SteamDeck would be turning off the stupid lighting in the game but you cant even do that. Ive looked for mods that might be able to make this playable but to no avail. Definitely dont buy if you dont have a dedicated recent GPU desktop PC.

For a First person shooter to even suggest 30fps is nearly enough to play the game is pure madness. These games should run at 45-60 fps in the least or dont market them as playable. This is just dumb.

Good Game. Some german words are questionable if they really exist but the typing practice wont deteriorate from it.

No Windowed Mode, No 60 FPS, No controller support in menus, Ingame controls must be set manually. This is a game that needs to be adjusted for modern audiences within GOGs preservation program. Its a fun game but its really not convenient in the slightest.

There is literally nothing wrong with this game.
Its a casual timekiller like a modern iteration of what our parents/grandparents used to play on their windows 95/98 machines.
The modern concepts that make this different are, less rules to know beforehand, more calculation involved, bigger numbers and changing elements that make it more interesting to play again. The cyberpunky woozy music and visuals mimicing crt filters just add that little extra that makes this a comfortable experience for shutting down your head after a day of flooding informations into your brain. The calculating part even helps with keeping your head busy during all that so you dont accidentally let your mind sway into unpleasant thoughts.

Very good game that goes back to the very basics of what games should be!

Upfront this is the first arcade golf series ever to make the jump to PC.
I am incredibly happy to have this game in my steam library and with online functionality at that.
For the sole reason to encourage more titles like this one to stop being console only the purchase was already worth it.

Other than that the game is truly an everybodys golf entry to the series that deserves the name. Do not mix it with the PS4 game that has been entirely different. This game is more true to the PS3 entries that came before.

Regarding performance issues i am playing on a steamdeck processor using windows 11 and i have no issues running the game except very few dropped frames during extreme weather and night scenes.

The Hotshots Golf series is one of my favorites of all time and i am grateful not having to buy a console just to play it. Its not perfect, its a new developer, its a good game, its not 69,99, i recommend.

The game is a very classic roguelike experience without any pressure you can go dungeoneering to your hearts content at your own pace in this turn based adventure while possessing other fiends and monsters to improve your stats and skills.

Ive been playing Soul Calibur games since SC2 on the PS2. The 6th game of the series brings back some of the classic mechanics from SC2 adding some fancy SC5 specials mixed with a bit of new graphics and the unreal engine to get a delicious piece of software that brings back some cherished memories of the past.

Mechanics and Gameplay content nothing i'd warn you about. So until here its a clear buy.

Then the negatives:

- Long and chewy Textbox based Story-Mode
- Automatic Blur effect on stage backgrounds (there is a way to change that by editing a file in the installation folder)
- Ridiculous Troll Content in Ranked Games due to customization options.
- Outdated Lobby System aimed at console casual play. Not suited for custom tournaments, Streaming or semi competetive use due to its bad flexibility and communication system.

Overall there are some heavy negatives to swallow but the game itself and its mechanics are great. Didnt even have any online play issues pingwise.

Is the game worth 60 bucks? - No
Is the game good? - Yes

Get it on a good sale rather than paying the full prize.

Der erste Eindruck war atemberaubend. Ich komme gerade frisch aus der Speedrunecke rund um Celeste. Daher bin ich sehr verwöhnt was Movement in Platformern anbelangt. Jedoch kann ich nur sagen dass dieses Spiel selbst das übertrifft! Die Steuerung ist simpel und wird sehr schnell Intuitiv und die Beweglichkeit in der Welt ist riesig! Man kann fast an jede Ecke des Bildschirms gelangen wenn man es richtig anstellt. Man fühlt sich beinahe als würde man selbst im Wind gleiten und Distanzen überbrücken sich als wäre es ein Kinderspiel.

Die Musik ist atemberaubend. Ein Meisterwerk aus Idyllischen Klängen die die Leichtigkeit des Vogels wiederspiegeln und den Spieler während des Spiels begleiten.

Visuell ist The Kings Bird ebenso ein Meisterwerk. Es errinnert an bereits bekannte Spiele wie The Journey und ist eine Reise durch eine lieblich dargestellte Geschichte die ganz ohne Sprache zurecht kommt! Atmosphärisch harmoniert alles wunderbar miteinander.

War natürlich noch Fehler sucht bei einem neu veröffentlichen Spiel wird immer fündig. Hier gibt es ein paar soundeffekte die nicht ganz passen und ein paar interessante Dinge die an Kanten und Ecken passieren können. Merkt man allerdings auch nur wenn man zum einen ganz genau hinhört und zum anderen durch speedruns auf glitchsuche ist.

Das Spiel ist ein Hit und ist jeden Cent wert!

As much as i love the games physics and realistic feel the more i hate the fact that the game stays unplayable for me. It is a risk to buy this game as you might end up having one of the best racing sims out there or end up beeing dissappointed by processing bugs that make the game plain unplayable. I cannot race a single lap on a track without having speed ups where my car suddenly accellerates rly fast and i get thrown into the next wall loosing all my progress. I already did check on the issue and received many sad insights from people having the same issue. Some were able to fix it by disabling Force Feedback but that doesnt work for us. No matter what we do the game stays like this and it never got fixed by the developers.

Great Game with serious issues. Buy on your own risk.

I own this game for over 2 years now.
Unlucky that i got a 4-pack back then i still have 2 copies im afraid to gift anyone cause the game is a hot mess.
Not a single game was readied up ever since i own this. No players or Servers are available. The Movement is awfully slow and clunky, the graphics are equal to games of the 90s. No Singleplayer or Training mode available. No Mods. No Community. No updates. No People. This Game is straight dead and never made it to beeing alive ever. Definitely dont buy this if its not only for your gamecount in the library. I wish i could just delete Games from my library but i guess this doesnt work!
