Fantastic game. Starts slow but there is so much quality content, and it keeps delivering. To be honest the content keeps getting better as time goes on. I have played since Global release in 2019 and I keep coming back to it and happily complete hundreds of hours more content each year or so. I have gotten countless hours out of it tbf. However, I recommend playing it on an emulator such as LDPlayer, because although this version is Ad free, you cannot get the extra Chrono Stones from the ads (or skip them with a service fee).

Yes this game has Gacha elements, but you get WAY more than enough free characters from the Story, side stories, and Cross Overs (like Tales of, Chrono Cross, Persona 5, etc.), not to mention they are VERY generous with the free Chrono Stones and you will have PLENTY of opportunities to get rare characters.

The music is fantastic, the harder fights can be very fun and challenging when they force you to engage with the battle mechanics, and the world is beautiful. All in all it is a very solid JRPG that will give you plenty of enjoyment, for free.

Early review and thoughts:

This game is absolutely mind blowing. I did not buy into the hype during their epic and long marketing campaign over the years because I have been let down on too many long development games in the past. Not to mention I have high standards with the cyberpunk genre as a whole. It being where a lot of my favorite media comes from, but this far exceeded my expectations for a video game. I have never seen or played a game that looks this beautiful and immersive.

However, to make this game look mind blowing you need powerful PC. Not to mention the launch of this game came with MANY bugs that would crash the game for many people, myself included, as they did not (as of release) include support for non-AVX CPUs (which is tons of people). However the community found a work around editing the hexa code in the exe on day 1 of launch so I was able to play the game after many hours of tweaks and forum posts. I regret nothing now that I am able to experience this beautiful game,

If you have a powerful PC and can handle a few bugs, it is worth grabbing now. Otherwise wait until it is patched up a bit and more optimized, or you have money for better components. I am running an rather old, yet relatively powerful X58 chipset setup.

I'm loving this. The physics are great. Single player is fun and teaches you a LOT. My game is going to improve IRL for sure. There are a lot of modes (tourney, etc), games (8 ball, snooker, 9 ball, you name it), and difficulties etc. I'm having a blast already. Multiplayer is easy to set up and get in a game, and the crowd has been kind and social. Good game.

Someone mentioned that the Online is only free for 1 year, and then $10 after that. Well, if I am still playing in a year $10 won't be much to renew another year subscription, so that isn't an issue. The other thing mentioned was that you can purchase better cues etc, in the online store... while they do help, they are not necessary to play online. For the price, I can see getting a lot out of this game even without any addition addons. Pool is timeless and this game lets you play it whenever you want.
