I did not expect to grow this attached to this guy so fast. I was mostly attracted to this game by the opportunity to bully and tease some guy. If ANYONE is mean to this guy besides me I will literally rewind time to stop you from hurting him! (i did in fact reload the game for hours because i wanted a no hit in the tutorial fight thinking there would be secret dialog and i kept making simple mistakes after my victory was certain on my first attempt)

I loved interaction with everything and everyone to Pro's annoyance (though i did miss some things and pissed off someone that otherwise had some pretty neat things to say about Pro that i missed out on)
The pixel art is very appealing and done well
The lore and worldbuilding has gotten me invested and theory crafting
When we first entered the forest, we were both shook and I didn't make Pro run the whole time during the creepy music part (i wonder why it wasn't part of the ost, was it some stock track)
Oh yeah, the forest battle music is pretty boppin though a mood whiplash compared to our first time meeting a monster (we both got over our initial shock)
The combat is wholly unique and challenging since everyone isn't accustom to it
His shirt... wait how is that the thing giving him +1 hp and not his cloak

In the village I teased Pro a bit, but was sympatric about his personal issues and we bantered a bit.
During the tutorial fight I reassured him and made a shaft joke with him (and for some reason kept reloading if he got hit when i could have just advanced the plot already)
During Minima's talk about me, Pro said I treated him more like a Bro than some stuff prim and proper hero, which got to me.
During the Consequence fight I was scared that I couldn't protect him
I told him the truth that I didn't know if I could get him out alive, yet he believed in me which broke my heart (instantly ruined the moment because i accidently skipped the Elf incapacitating Pro
Bravo on the team for getting me so invested in this one person in a demo that's meant to be beaten in like 2 hours

I'll try not to rehash things in the Kickstarter FAQ on points that I did not like on this demo

I would like breaking/being broke to factor into battle field calculations

I'm pretty sure the reason why you can't change Minima's equipment post demo is because it'd waste dev time for the demo, but if not you should be able to change equipment for everyone in your party

The forest looks wonderful, what's not wonderful is having to run through the forest, not even counting the respawning enemies, either trying to progress or even worst trying to find all of the pick ups in all the hidden places among the trees. You'll spend a lot of frustrating time hugging walls in the hope of finding the secret place with sticks and strings for your gear.

The respawning enemies with no choice but to refight them or try to find a hidden way to bypass them. Ross Scott's words on the matter of respawning enemies shine true here, they seem to repopulate an area way too fast. Now fighting them the first time, you're fully focused, but its fighting them again while you're trying to move in the forest is when they get you while you've exhausted yourself. Maybe they should repopulate an area if you change locations like 20 or so times, make it possible to sneak pass enemies groups you've already been rather than just being a way to get into a starting position in battle, or allowing you the option to retreat from repeat enemy groups by hugging the edge of a battle area.

I'm not sure if I remember if Pro's health is restored after a battle, but if so it'd run counter to the lore of food and rest restoring health. I hope to see food enter the picture in the full game, maybe the quality of food and rest will effect the healing properties as well as other effects. In hindsight, it's pretty strange that Pro wasn't given any food for his long and dangerous journey, but I guess it wasn't necessary for this demo to be fair.

My last point of critism for the demo is the regret of picking a dialog option and regretting that you said something that you can't take back. The girl in the library will be permently pissed with you and Pro if you thought it was funny to have Pro tell her that I didn't have anything to say, missing out on her dialog on Pro if you do listen to her. Other times you have Pro read something and he won't reread it for you. You're skipping past dialog and you accidently press the response you didn't want because the option box became big enough that your mouse enters it (always keep your mouse on the top left of the screen to avoid miss inputs). It's probably due to immersion that you can't get people to repeat things or Pro to redo things, but we already have timey wimmy powers that revert Pro's memory on death, so it'd be nice to weigh on on your dialog options before you commit on it like on renpy visual novels with micro time reverts. Another things is the experimental rapid dialog skip thing also skips your optertunies to say something to Pro.

I hope in the full game there'll some narrative angst on how the Patron's relationship with Pro is temporary with a good relationship with Pro has him dancing around how the first person in his life who has treated him as just a guy instead of someone who should be a prim and proper hero will be gone forever soon, a neutral working relationship Pro would be ambivalent though would miss the power of time freeze and tactical advice, and a bad relationship Pro can't be more done with you. Out of everything in this game, the one thing I care about the most is Pro and you can't be physically there for him.
