The link I sent is no longer working, however, this one works the same: https://rafradek.github.io/Mishcatt/

Sorry for commenting again, but the link was removed when I made a comment, just replace the (dot) with a real dot: sprays(dot)tk

What mipmaps are? The image changes to a lower quality version depending on the distance the player is seeing, the farther you are, the lower the mipmap will be, however, this comes with a cost, and may increase your file size. Since you are looking for an HD spray, I suggest leaving it unmarked.

You can also make 1024x1024 sprays, but you'll have to unmark the mipmaps and make it as a DXT1 texture format. This doesn't change too much, only if your spray is somewhat transparent, and has borders on it.

The spray I had on the server was 512x512, but I also did a 1024x1024. Because the latter was using DXT1, the soft shadow behind the spray was not properly transparent.

I make sprays on a 512x512 image, I set the following options:

512x512 size
Generate Mipmaps: No
Scale to Fit: No (Doesn't matter if you import an 512x512 image).
Use single image for animation: No

Texture Format: DXT5 (most important part)
Sampling method: Default
Compression quality: Slow

Click Convert, then click Save as VTF. Save somewhere on your PC and import from the Multiplayer options on TF2.
