Scrappy is best boi.
Also this game is stupidly fun. I dropped £80 on Battlefield 6 and I haven't played it since this game released..

If you like puzzle horror games, or even if you don't, this game is for you. Seriously. This game got it's hooks into me and did not let me go to bed until I was done, and I'm not complaining.

The pace is, I think, perfect. The story is gripping, secrets and lore are hidden in plain sight, it's easy to miss little bits, but it's also equally easy to catch them. I did a single run through of this game, it took me 4.5 hours, and I got 100% of achievements. If you're someone who likes to look everywhere when exploring, then you'll be able to do the same thing.

Give this game a try!

Just from the intro I gotta say, I love how this game feels! The atmosphere and sound design are terrific. I love a dystopian future in any game but this is awesome!!

Stunning visuals, outstanding soundtrack, punchy sound effects and hordes upon hordes of fowl monsters to unleash pure, unbridled Democracy upon. Every moment that I have played this game I have experienced pure joy. It's a heap of fun to play by yourself, but naturally, it's best played with friends.

Quick play with randoms isn't so bad either though. People genuinely work together and it's incredibly refreshing. To look at planets and see hundreds of thousands of Helldivers working tirelessly to bring Liberty to it is a sight to behold. The fact that everything in the game can be bought without having to spend a penny is terrific as well.

This game has a lot of potential for partnerships with other games in terms of outfit designs and I look forward to seeing what they do with this game in the future.

Glory to Super Earth, Helldivers.

Is DayZ worth it in 2022?

I've been playing DayZ for a multitude of years, I started way back in the Arma 2 Mod before even Overpoch was introduced in it's entirety. I've been putting off doing this review of the Standalone game for a fair few years because of the state the game was in, but, I can safely say that the game is in an amazingly good place right now and well worth the buy. If you'll read on, you'll find out why.

Since 2022 began, DayZ has experienced its highest player count since release back in December of 2013 pulling in just over 31,000 players in January, and while in the grand scheme of things that may not sound like a lot, when you consider most servers on the DayZ SA Launcher range from 50-80 players in capacity, that's a *lot* of people.

It's no secret that DayZ SA had a rocky start. Poor stability, slow updates, broken patches, and a creator who straight up dipped out of the picture, but I can more than safely say that this game is in the best shape of it's life. The modding community has brought this game back from the brink with mods that introduce roaming AI, missions, airdrops and hordes, making it feel like that old DayZ we all know and love. On top of that, people have added mods which bring in skill trees and perk systems making it feel like you get real rewards for doing simple things like treating wounds, running around (in what is famously known as Running Simulator), and other things.

The servers are rife with places to Roleplay and plenty of communities that are friendly and welcoming to newcomers. If you're new to the game, it can be a bit overwhelming with how many steps there are to some things, such as having to put the box of ammo into your hands, then opening it, then putting the magazine to a gun in your hands and combining the bullets and then individually loading each bullet in, but once you know how it all works you can work alongside it with relative ease and almost no inconvenience to your play style.

Ultimately, DayZ is in the best shape it's ever been in and if you want to play it, now's the time. The modding community has made this game simply outstanding and I feel there's much more to come.

As someone who participated in the Beta of this game back in 2018, I can honestly tell you that this game is much better and definitely worth buying. There are a couple things that could be improved upon in my opinion, and if you're interested in what they are, pros and cons of the game, then read on.

Fallout has always been a game that I've enjoyed, from the first game, through to the beautiful New Vegas, and the enjoyable Fallout 4, and when Fallout 76 was announced I was elated to see that we were going to be getting, essentially, an MMO version of Fallout. However, as some of you may know, Fallout 76's release was riddled with scandals, poor performance, terrible load times, texture issues and bad times all around. Needless to say, it left a sour taste in my mouth and I didn't purchase the game at all after that.

Recently, however, my friend said that I should get it as it's really improved. I was heavily sceptical and doubted that it had improved enough to be worth the money, but, for £12 (on sale at the time of purchase), I figured what the hell, worst case scenario I refund it before the timer runs out.

Needless to say, I did not end up getting a refund. At first I was a bit put off when I saw that there was a Season Pass, but, that was lifted as soon as I found out it was totally free. No, not free *if* you do something, just, free. Straight up. All the challenges that get you XP towards it are pretty easy, Daily Missions can all be done within a couple of hours of their reset, Weekly Challenges are actually a decent difficulty, bar a couple which you simply can't do until you hit level 50. The performance has skyrocketed, no texture issues, not much of anything to be honest, it's all in all become a pretty damn good game to play with friends.

Now, for my personal cons. Firstly, Hit Registration. I can actually see the health of near every enemy I shoot go up just a bit after ever shot. There have been multiple times where I've shot an enemy, be it a Ghoul, a Radroach, even the damn Scorchbeast, and it's not taken any damage whatsoever, thus making me waste ammunition. In the Nuclear Winter Battle Royale mode, and in the Adventure mode too sometimes, it's actually more beneficial to hip-fire than it is to aim down your sights as half the time I found my shots to just be straight up missing. Even on a Super Mutant with a shotgun at pointblank range.

Second problem? MOUNTS. Okay, now, it's not that there are limited mounts, it's that there are NONE. My friends and I have talked about this amongst ourselves, and it makes zero sense. The Wasteland is a pretty decent size. So the fact that in this nuclear future, where we still have FUSION POWERED ROBOTS, as well as buses and cars and motorbikes which honestly, don't look too damaged to not be fixed, and by "not too damaged" I mean even the PAINT isn't scuffed. So, the fact that our only means of transportation is to either walk or pay caps, which are already scarce, is a pain in the ass. Why not give us vehicles that we can use to store junk or, items, 'cause when you get encumbered, being unable to fast travel or sprint to find a bench to scrap or a stash to transfer stuff can be a fun-killer.

Thirdly, and this isn't *too* bad but, it's still a pain. The base building isn't anywhere near as snappy as we'd like to see. You look at something like Rust, where you can build so easily and it all just snaps in to place, it's great, but in this, you have to be looking at something at just the right angle, at just the right height, just the right rotation, all that nonsense for it to snap in to place and it can make base building feel a little tedious at times.

Aside from those points, honestly? No issues with the game! It's fun to play solo, with friends, the Battle Royale's not half bad either, the levelling system is great, all in all, BUY IT! If you want.

There's always been a fine line between good and hard video games. You either chilled out playin' Kirby's Dream Land, or pulled your hair out tryin' to beat BattleToads. This game, falls on the BattleToads side of the line, but it can also fall on the Kirby's Dream Land side of the line. Let me explain.

You never win in Hunt: Showdown, you simply survive. You go in to every single hunt on edge, scared, nervous and sweating. I have over 150 hours in this game and I still get worried in every hunt I go in, whether it's with friends or alone. Crytek have gone above and beyond with this game by blending together two genres. Horror and Battle Royale. When you lose, it hurts. It hurts bad. You've lost your hunter, they're gone into the swampy marshes forever with no hope of retrieval. When you win though, you feel unstoppable, you feel like you're the best video game player that has ever lived. You've overcome the knee-high waters and monster-filled buildings all whist surviving against a multitude of other hunters that have the same objective as you. Find and kill the bounty. Whether that bounty is a terrifying spider, a butcher with a pig's head on his shoulders or a being made up purely of insects and smoke, that's up to you.

The whole game is set in an alternate time of the 1890s, the people and animals of Louisiana have been infected by an unknown and horrifying force turning them in to terrible mutated beings with a lust for your flesh. Everything in the game works against you. Footsteps are loud, birds fly away from you if you alert them and that can give away your position, dying horses will neigh loudly alerting nearby hunters and monsters, and when a monster sees you, they make one hell of a noise about it and I guarantee you everyone will know where you are. The only way to survive this game, is to be stealthy. If you're not, then you're as good as dead. Alert as few things as possible, only fire your gun if you absolutely need to and even then, is it worth it? Only shoot if you can get a headshot, otherwise that fight becomes a whole lot harder.

Bring a good gun and steady your aim because everything in Hunt: Showdown works against you. Which is why when you win, you feel like an unstoppable god amongst gamers.

Mother Russia Bleeds: Review

Firstly, allow me to start this review with the simple statement of, THIS GAME IS AMAZING!

Now allow me to tell you just why that is. This game is not subtle. Not in any way, shape or form. Blood spurts from wounds, knuckles crack from impacts, drugs are injected into veins, riots blow up, and prison scenes become soaked with blood and full of corpses, it looks like a fresh piece of modern art that could earn you a few million.

Mother Russia Bleeds is a pixellated 2D brawler that will send you back in time to the days of arcade beat 'em ups. You can play with up to three other players punching, kicking, grappling, shooting, and all round mutilating every single enemy that dares to try and defeat you.

The stages unfold in such a way that always keeps you on your toes. Most beat 'em ups are repetitive, boring, monotonous, but Mother Russia Bleeds is the exact opposite. Because of how things unfold you are left bombarded with action over, and over, and over, yet still able to take in the beautifully made backdrops and the crisp sounds of rain hitting the pieces of bone on the floor from your enemies that come in all shapes and sizes. Be they on vehicles, shielded, or ready with a gas grenade.

Its retro style is a breath of fresh air amongst most beat 'em ups of today. It has a deep story and the boss battles are astounding. They'll scare the hell out of you, or make you so pumped you'll power through the whole game and finish it wanting to go for another round.

All in all, I highly recommend this game, so grab it, and get ready to get those bandaged knuckles bloodied and cut.

Keep calm and tackle hard!
