I've always wanted a pokemon-esk game added to steam ever since I moved to a pc and this is just everything a pokemon fan could ask for. It has infinite room to expand and develop since it's not confined to the 'New game for new pokemons / islands'. Temtem could just as easily up the 'standard level 100 cap' while releasing new tems / lands, giving the game longevity and so far with the pace that content is coming out it's just been exciting waiting to see what's next to come.

The devs also introduced small little QOL updates to keep players invested in the game while they work on the bigger updates / expansions of the game like, re-battling of gyms and player houses to work on. It feels like the devs really know what to do with this type of game (and pokemon players) to keep it fresh while adding even small things to keep people from burning out. (There's also PVP / Competitive battles that also fulfils the ranked side of people that will always keep people playing, fighting to be the top but I've personally dabbled into it)

As a pokemon player since Sapphire (The original since there's a "Alpha" now), I've always wanted a multiplayer pokemon where you see other trainers running around doing their own grind / story. It makes it feel like a community and you're never alone in the world.

I hope the devs have the same longevity plans to keep the game going throughout the years instead of just releasing a whole new game for expansions and I'm fully invested and hope for this game to get the attention it deserves and I can't wait to see where the devs take this amazing take on a capture-rpg.
