This game is truly a sandbox that how you play it strictly depends on what you're into. It's fun to mess around in SP with tons of community contents, and plenty of MP servers for all kind of custom game modes or even hangout party between friends. My only issue with Gary's Mod is that annoying "texture missing" that there's no good way to track down, and it's impossible to preserve Workshop contents (So if a popular mod is removed or upgraded, you're screwed). Still, I'm happy with what the game has to offer, hopefully future updates can address some of the issues above.

PSA: To the people complaining about the demo being removed: It IS A FULL GAME, just less Jokers and shorter run. Dev will literally lose money as everyone will stick to the demo if it was still up, so get over it.

Sunk 50+ hours into the demo and still haven't managed to 100%, this is a must-buy to me. Rougelike games might not appeal to everybody, but if you're looking for something to play in short sessions, this game is for you.

Pros:
-Easy to pick up and play, even if you know nothing about Poker
-Large amount of contents day-1, no DLC/MTX BS.
-Reasonable price (I still think this game could do well at $19.99, but devs say $14.99 is okay and everyone agrees). Might be even cheaper within your regional price.
-"No two runs are the same". Yep, RNG and Seeds mean you'll almost never encounter the same blind layout, tag, joker, booster packs, etc...

Cons:
-No mods supported (yet), this could really help prolonging the game's replayability.

Rating: 9/10

Early Access Review
KKME refugee here. I purchased this app when KKME was bricked on my end due to Always Online issue after checking out the Mobile version, and was quite pleased with the end result. NOTE that whether or not you find this app useful will depend on your NEED - me personally, I just wanted something to pose characters as reference for some artists I'm commissioning, so it worked well.

As a side note, if anyone wants to try-before-you-buy EasyPose, download the mobile version, most functions are unlocked or just requires watching ads. The PC version functions the same, with added KB/M support and more contents.

Something to note:
-PC version is cheaper than Mobile as it comes with Pro & DLC contents (Plus additional contents banned on App stores)
-Controls is Unity-standard, despite the scary "control menu" at launch, you really only need your mouse and WASD movements.
-No customization on saving paths, so it'll be hard to backup your data if you constantly reinstall Windows. Hopefully this will be resolved when the app leaves EA.

CONCLUSION: I wish Steam'd add a Neutral option for special case reviews since this app may or may not work for others. But for me, it does what I need it to, so I'll thumb up.

This is by far the most advanced DLC that adds a lot of stuff not documented in the DLC page. In addition to the new clothes, you also gain access to a few more hand gestures, poses, plus all these new "characters" have the ability to attach accessories to their collar, wrist, back, etc... opening up a lot of possibility for customize your characters with proper custom props.

Unfortunately none of these new changes carried over to the older characters, even if you own all the DLCs. Still, if you're making a manga with winter theme, this DLC is a must.

ALWAYS ONLINE WARNING: This app does not tell you that it needs Internet connection to function, despite the fact that all resources once streamed will remain on your PC. Until this is removed or at least ensured to work consistently, do not buy.

When I first got KKME, it showed a lot of potentials, as the devs seemed to have an idea on what they wanted to achieve from the get go. This app is CHEAP (even with all DLCs purchased) and you get tons of customization from the start, something that Manga Maker Compio struggles to maintain... but this is where things fall off the cliff. Lemme tell you why:
-There are lots of clothing and model options, but no real color variety. Likewise, default characters are stuck with pale-white skin color, with no option to change it.
-You can import user image for scenery and items, but 3D model isn't supported.
-No (English) documentation on how to create or upload Workshop content.
-Too many contents on one page can crash the app when exporting (I counted about 10 "big" elements).
-PSD export is very nice, but upscaling is non-existent. Thus when you try to go for HD resolution, the images become blurry.
-Download, download, download... where do I begin. KKME is lightweight and takes no more than 3 minutes to download from Steam, but afterward you have to stream all DLC contents, and this is painfully slow, even with gigabit Ethernet. I'm still confused as to why they can't be shipped with the Steam installation.
-The ultimate con: ALWAYS ONLINE. It's hard to imagine that we're in 2023 and still have an app that will brick itself the moment "connection to server is lost". If you buy KKME expecting it to work 24/7, sorry, this is a coin toss and you'll have to PRAY that Sakura servers didn't go down on you at the worst possible moment. If that happens, your only hope is to email them and pray they'd fix it before your deadline arrives.

In conclusion: KKME is yet another unlucky app to have been abandoned by the devs once it was clear it wasn't going to profit, and sadly they didn't even have the heart to remove Always Online. DON'T buy it.

Took me a while to understand the battling process but finally got it down perfectly. A solid DLC with new parts and puzzles to mess around with, and it's gonna be fun making "poker" contraptions/puzzles and challenge your friends with it. Minor complain: STILL NO MUSIC in the tutorial levels (what gives?)

Wonderstucts brings a new experience to the world of Contraption Maker, with lots of new parts that help you build the ultimate Rube Goldberg Machine to your liking. One new feature introduced with this DLC is the ability to switch layers for anything that passes through Wonderstructs part; that way they can go above other parts in your puzzle, creating interesting solutions that require you to think hard to figure out.

My only issue with this DLC is that it starts out with only a few official puzzles and not all parts have tutorial puzzle, so you'd have to play around in Sandbox for a while to figure out everything. Also the official Wonderstructs puzzle doesn't have music, which is odd but I guess it's just a minor bug. For $0.99, it's quite a solid DLC and pretty much must-have if you enjoy CM and want to show your support to the devs.

2021 Re-review

I've been giving this app one more chance when it's 80% off, so now it's time for a more detailed review.

To begin with, MM2017 is sinful for its false advertisement of "8000 loops & sounds", you only ever get about 131 loops, and even if taking consideration that all loops comes with full note range (14), the total amount is nowhere near 8000.

Next, let's discuss some cons:
-Default sound driver hijacking system sound driver, muting all other apps except MM2017. If you use this app, you're going to miss all buzz/notifications from other apps like Discord, Facebook. So make sure to change this.
-4/4 beat only, no options to do 3/4 songs. Then again, all loops are 4/4 so you can't do anything about this.
-Grid lines just for show - while you can zoom in and see grid lines, nothing actually snaps to them aside from the 4/4 beat as stated above. Good luck manually nudging the loops to match with the line.
-No mixing song maker, the function is strictly to generate songs from one sound pool at a time. BPM is locked and can't be changed.
-No license for generated songs from this app, so unless you plan to make some tracks to listen by yourself, forget about upload, share, monetize. Making backing tracks to jam guitar, play piano, drums over? Don't bother.

Conclusion: NOT RECOMMENDED. This app might be fun to mess around and generate some simple sounds, but it's very limited and there aren't much you're allowed to do with your creative tracks.

The only set that includes middle-aged person, unfortunately this DLC has only one Male character (So you can't hope to make an old hag playing evil bosses). The inclusion of business-related objects bumps up the price to standard one - in my opinion, this pack is the most rip-off, consider that you can import and use your own 3D objects. Pick it up on sale if you need adult characters for your manga, but remember that the style is VERY LIMITED.

Again, thumbed up because on the edge of the verdict, this one barely made 51/100.

This DLC works well for mangas that focuses on MC's daily life at home - you should probably grab it in High School Starter Pack along with Sport Wears, but other than that this pack is often at 50% off so it's okay to get it later though.
