In this game, you play the part of a disgruntled former power plant security guard, and you've come back to kill energy executives for creating GMOs and disrupting ecosystems. Meanwhile, you're racing against them to find a former coworker who's trying to use his famous mom's power for political gain.

I've played for thousands of hours, but it doesn't show on Steam because this is the third time I've bought it. That's how much I enjoy this game. It's the only game that I've ever bought 3 times without first losing the previous copies. To be clear, the Steam edition is only marginally better than the original Windows release, except for an increase in resolution for the 3D elements, but that's not very helpful because the low-poly 3D and low-res textures they used in 1997 haven't aged well, even when rendered at much higher display resolution. A key issue with the old graphics is many of the characters have cubes for forearms with proportions worse than Popeye. At such a reduced price, I decided to get this anyway when I bought the rest of the FF franchise just for the convenience of having everything on Steam. More of the old games have been released for Steam since then, so I now have more to buy.

I recommend using the 7th Heaven mod manager to update the graphics, The mod manager also adds support for typing names with the keyboard, which was available in the original Windows release but missing from the Steam edition. The downside is that the mods don't update most of the enemies and NPCs, so some things stand out beside your modded character.

Fun fact: My favorite ad for this game says, "more than 200 animators and programmers, a multi-million dollar production, over 2 years in the making, and a cast of thousands! They said it couldn't be done in a major motion picture," then finishes by gloating, "they were right," and revealing that they were describing a video game. The ad is retroactively wrong, because "the Simpsons Movie" was released 10 years later, matching the ad's description of FF7, except it's unclear how many characters there are because I can't find a complete list but there are at least several hundred.

Full of racism. Was given to me as a gift when it was on sale for $1, because they wanted to play multiplayer with me.
