If you can actually play the game, its very very enjoyable. Challenging game (time-travelling game journalists beware) so save frequently. The game is loads of fun honestly and the story and environment they provide is both interesting, depressive, and genuinely the funniest ♥♥♥♥ ive heard in an action video game.

I wish that there was a bit more to the game rather than "Dive, slow mo, aim for head" and "Walk out, slomo, aim for head" but this is (likely) fixed in the future game(s). The core mechanics are good enough to justify this game play, and it isn't terribly long. Another gripe in the inability to skip in game cut scenes as some are drawn out, and they force you to replay them after you're done.

Whilst the cut scenes (comics) are visually ugly as its basically a mosaic filter over amateur actors, Max Payne's voice is amazing and the comics deliver the story in an interesting way. The psychological thriller aspects of the game are played very well, and the audio work is great.

For the time it came out, the game would be 9/10 easily.
