*UPDATED REVIEW*
I can no longer recommend this janky mess of a game.. The studio clearly went greedy and started focusing on R******* Season passes and dumb skin content rather than improving and fixing bugs..
Season 1 update brought more bugs and nothing for QoL.
My guess is the quality of servers have been lowered to accommodate the free BR player that swarm in...
Heres a bug list that i encounter EVERY GAME SESSION now:
- Netcode is absolutely HORRIBLE.. it wasnt great on launch but it has degraded to worse..
- You can make it 2m past a corner and they still manage to kill you.
- No sound from the gun thats shooting at you.
- SMGs make it look on the receiving end like you died from one tap. You just instantly die.
- You can throw a grenade, have it hit the ground but then gets deleted just because some one killed you while you threw it..
- No ping(ms) just some icons to show when it gets out of hand..
- Sometimes you just die with no indication that you got shot 5 times.
- Bug gliches out after using the engineering bot.. You cant ADS so you gotto switch weapons afterwards to fix it.
- The fire rate bugs out and you get this automatic rifle that works like a engine thats about to fail.. VERY FUN when trying to spray down an enemy and he gets away because your guns is having hickups...
- strange visual artifacting is back.. completely taking you out of the fight because it looks like you are running through the 4th dimension.
- Aiming at gas or dust makes the entire screen blurry.. Even from a far so you cant see anything at all just because some dust is in your frame 50m away.
- Sometimes your repair tool stops working or registering that you are trying to repair a vehicle.
- The stupid challenges counters are bugged out and dont always count your progress.
- You still get randomly yeeted up in the air when walking over some things.
- Respawn map is annoying as hell.. The cursor disappears randomly and the whole snapping into object is annoying. Makes it really hard to pick exactly what you want to spawn on when two things are close to eachoter. Example, i want to spawn on a teammate thats is right over the objective point.. I dont want to spawn on the objective since it puts me outside of the area. I want to spawn on the teammate but the snapping grid being janky as hell makes selecting a pain in the ass.
- People in party end up in different servers...

I can not recommend this until they start improving their game instead of making up ways to bleed gamers wallets with stupid content.

Runs great.
Holds true to the battlefield soul but with the unavoidable more up to date styles which are IMO a few manageable negatives:
- ICONS and hud elements everywhere. Hard to keep track in fast paced combat. (Friend screams "ON ME" I have 3 green markers on the map, now i have to cross reference their numbers with the randomly assigned number they have in the squad. Friends should have different colours distinguishable from random squad members)
- Unbalanced weapons. SMGs seem atm to be the widest meta short and medium-long range...
- Console/controller plebs get unfair recoil advantage and aim assists... (puke emoji here)

Pros:
- Lots of variety in weapons.
- You can go slow and tactical or play like a CoD degenerate.
- Vehicles are fun and upgradable.
- Desructon is everywhere.
- Performance on a 5080 is great even with a 9th gen i9 cpu.
- Teamwork is rewarded.
- Graphics, chefs kiss.

Personal ops:
- Too much focus on crazy game modes. Would rather only have 2 and a lot more maps.
- Needs much bigger vanilla maps.
- CO-OP missions like in bf3. Would be fun to have these replayable co-op missions with the objective to perfect the missions and get scores. Maybe community/portal will make these.
- Single player, not played it but heard people think its "mid".. Who cares, its one of those things you play once. The MP is where its at.. would not want more resoures put on making better singleplayer at the cost of multiplayer..

I love arma reforger and this is really fun BUUUT here are some REALLY annoying and positive things:

- NO SERVER QUEUE?!?!?: have fun spamming to join servers for sometimes 5-10 min...
- Really mod dependent: so a new patch can break the all the modded community servers for days.. Some mods dont even come back.
- Slow patching: Some super small and annoying bugs dont get patched directly.. takes super long.
- Server instability.
- Not as much vanilla content as Arma 3 had when it launched.
- No destructible buildings.. just fences..

+ Overall its a very very nice upgrade from Arma 3 still.
+ Performance
+ attention to details.
+ Authentic sounds

There should be a law against selling a DLC at full AAA price..

Where to begin? TLDR; Dont buy it. Shame on everyone who took part in making this scam.

This game is nothing special. Its a devolution to gaming in general if you compare it to what The Force Unleashed was.
- Graphics are nothing special. Lighting is bad in a lot of places. Dont even try to tell me to use Ray tracing.. I got a 3090 and its not playable with Ray Tracing..
- Barely any attention to details.
- Everything is so static except some bushes. Nothing reacts to force push unless its made for it to be specifically.
- Boring obstacle courses to just fill out the gaming time.
- Exploring is barely worth it. Only thing making it worth is to find XP or Perks collections.

And now for the really bad:
- Runs poorly.. WHY?! The graphics are nothing special yet i get 40-60fps on my 3090 rig..
- Crashes consistently since the last patch. Making you want to stress trough the game so that you can reach a save point before the crash which you know is due any minute.
- Customizing your lightsaber or clothes has NO functionality to it.. You cant even see the lightsaber details when playing the game.. USELESS, even in 4k!

Garbage. I try and try to give this game a chance.. frustrated each time. Today I keep getting kicked after 10 sec in any match.
Dice, EA, Whatever.. Shut down or stop hiring incompetence.

This game would maybe be awesome if i was completley retarded. Which im not, roughly 50% retarded..
Anyways, to sum up ED, you fly to a station, dock(SUPER TEDIOUS AFTER THE 100th TIME), klick and navigate a MENU. buy or sell what you want. Then undock(SUPER TEDIOUS AFTER THE 100th TIME). Fly to the next station(SUPER TEDIOUS AFTER THE 100th TIME).

inbetween all these things its just cool animations(SUPER TEDIOUS AFTER THE 100th TIME).

Combat is the only thing that remotely interested me, since the other jobs are SUPER TEDIOUS AFTER THE 100th TIME.
But by the time that ED got to Steam i lost interest.

My final judgment is ED is SUPER TEDIOUS AFTER THE 100th TIME, because nothing happens dynamically or spontaniously. There is no depth.

The good things are the animations and effects for sure. Although i havent been able to test the planetary side since that's DLC!

Best Combat Sim Ever.
The gameplay actually makes people play in a close squad. Tactical and realistic.
The community is one of the best I've ever seen.
As i mentioned in my old review, that this game has potential. Well I'd say that is more true than ever.
People who are still playing Arma, need to consider this game.

**OLD REVIEW**
Keep getting disconnected.. Deleting %localappdata%/squad Helped for about 15mins then it started again. Overall its a somewhat nice Combat sim. Animations need to be a bit faster in some parts. Can feel clunky. Has potential. I get nice fps 60+ on a gtx 980TI, i7 4770 ETC..

Played all kinds of FPS games all my life.. Im usually one of the better players in Battlefield and call of duty games when it comes to aiming and keeping a high KD. But then i enter the Elite world of Rust. I say elite because EVERY f***** Pro gamers must be in this game playing constantly. How else would i run into all these people that can get all these amazing headshots on me with every posible weapon.

What im trying to say is HACKERS!
Dont bother on community servers or modded servers... Every one has this amazing aiming skill like a CSgo God.

On the official servers.. Everything is so slow and repetetive... grind grind grind...

Im going to be short. Its JC3. so its what youd expect it to be. Idk what people are talking about when they have issues. I runt the game at 1440, all specs maxed out. and i can get around 70-100 frames. and well i do have a 980 TI, I7 4770k, 16 gb ram and so on...

One bad thing is the bull sh#t day one DLCs...
it make my blood boil...
When i was a kid these DLC made me so sad because i wanted to have more to do in games so badly but i could never buy them nor could i justify it to my mother to get her to buy me more stuff when ive already gotten the money for the game.

Feel bad for the kids in this situation and the game companies should be ashemed.
I can kind of understand DLC's that come after a long time but day one DLC and stuff that should already be in the game i can not.
