I didn't expect this game to be as good as it has, but I've REALLY enjoyed this game.

The Good
The range of products within the game.
Sorta realistic. Charging almost double market price for all the items in my store, and still have people buy everything is... annoyingly realistic...
Being able to play with my friends. I enjoy being able to play this game with my family and friends.
It's free. I mean what more can you want? The only thing that's locked behind a paywall is optional content and I think more developers need to do that, even for paid games.

The Bad
The controls, they take a really long time to get used too.

Edit 1: Since the game has been updated since I made this review, I felt it best to update my review based on the games updates!

This is honestly the most fun I've had in a video game for years.

Things I liked
  • The new painting and paneling mechanics, being able to have multiple panel types/paint colours on the one vertical tile is a massive improvement.
  • The new wall building mechanics work like a charm and allow for much better customization of wall and floor height.
  • Being able to change colours of all objects in the game to whatever colours I want has opened up new levels of customization not available in the first game.
  • The story mode, I love me a story-based game that gives me a list of objectives, sure the first game had the jobs system, but it didn't have an overarching story.
  • Sandbox mode. I've seen this asked about constantly on the public Discord for the first game, so seeing it here is amazing.
  • Co-op Beta. With the current state of the co-op beta test, I feel as though it is likely the game will be updated to include the Co-op mode in the future. If this feature never comes out it'll heavily sway a future review update however.
  • Mod.io, I had mod.io as one of the things I didn't like in the past however I've come to really enjoy how it's implemented, with it being cross platform, and available through an ingame menu I feel as though this is one of the best decisions made by the team. Though I still believe the game should include a more indepth modding system.

Things I didn't like
  • Bugs, unfortunately with any title there is bound to be bugs. Equally unfortunately for some players these bugs have resulted in lost saves, an inability to play certain levels and extreme lag on top-of-the-line hardware. While the devs are normally very good at dealing with bugs when they come up, it would seem the testing process isn't as indepth as the first games and would benefit from wider community testing.
  • There currently aren't as many objects as in the first game, though it is early days and that's likely to change.
  • Limited moddability. The first game used the Steam Workshop to allow for custom objects within the game, sure HF2 allows us to share our sandbox houses using mod io, but I kinda miss having random clutter items and being able to add my own custom items to the game.
  • The games use of Unity. Sure this is more of a nitpick, but I feel as though with Unity's... history of trying to screw over the entire game development community the game COULD have been remade in Unreal Engine to show to Unity and other engine developers that that kind of behaviour is not tolerated in this community, especially when it could have harmed indie developers like Frozen District had it been implemented.

Overall I've really loved House Flipper 2, sure there are a few places it fell flat, especially when compared to the first game, but I've enjoyed it and had fun and that's all that matters tbh.

I started playing this game as it showed up on a free games site and looked ok enough.

Having completed the main story a few times and finishing a large portion of all the DLC, I must say, this game is 100% worth it.

It's a nice take on the dating game/visual novel genre, with such an adorable story completely controlled by you, the player. This game hit me with the feels quite often.

I don't know what else to say other then, if you enjoy adorable dating sims where your choices actually matter, play this.

Normally I wouldn't be the sort of person to play Horror Games.
But after seeing some YouTube Videos and some friends play the game I really wanted to play it myself and I must say, I think I like horror games now

An amazing addition to the Subnautica Story.
It looks amazing, feels amazing, and is amazing.
I honestly can't say anything bad about it.
I can't wait to see the full release.

This game does have a learning curve but it's still fun nonetheless.

I love having the ability to build my dream PC.
I also love the fact that they partner with real Companies in order to make the game great.

Garden Flipper was a much needed DLC for House Flipper...
They added more to the game then the game did when it first came out...

I mean yeah there were a heap of bugs at launch... But if they were to delay the release date to fix said bugs it would have really upset the community like when the DLC came out with bugs... It was basically a lose-lose scenario...

I pride Frozen District with their choice of a DLC for my favourite game in my steam library :)
