This is still the best 4 player co-op zombie shooter, even 15 years after it came out. Worth picking up with some friends if you haven't played it yet. It even runs on Potatoes!

Great game, if it works.

As of September 2023, the developers introduced a patch that entirely broke the functionality of multiplayer (and probably single player too). Some of the strange design decisions include introducing a loud drum sound to play after mousing over any icon on the main map page, and SWITCHING THE UNDO BUTTON WITH THE SKIP TURN BUTTON! Why would you change a key button function to the opposite side of the screen after players have played for 200 hours?!?!?!

If they fix it, maybe I will change my review.

This is a pretty good game for the price-point. It's got a simple but effective core game-play loop that sucks you in until you lose track of time.

After 139 hours, I have finished playthrough one of Legendary Edition, totaling maybe 5 of the whole series having played the games when they were first published.

Pointing to the remastering in Legendary Edition, does it look the same as a current AAA game? No. Is it free of bugs? No. Does it feel like a recent game? Again, No. BUT, the story is still amazing. Each character is has a personality (some better written than others) and decisions you make impact how they interact with you and the rest of the crew.

Overall, would buy again, and probably will play again. 9/10

This game is just wonderful and relaxing. It builds on your innate need of "just one more day." Eventually, you become obsessed with efficiency, and think it will be better next year.

This is a very unpolished mess of a game. A regretful purchace.
