So far this game is scratching an itch that i didn't know i had in the city builder genre, the multi settlement and internal trading Itch that is. The depth it which everything seems to interact with each other is awesome and a big plus for me gives great immersion, i am still yet to get to late game and i am looking forward to see how the game performs when you have big cities in all locations and you are trading between them.

my only struggle at the moment is to easy way see a overview of where people are employed and but this could be operator error and i have not found the menu yet . you can tell me.

Aim high fall hard peeps!

I have held off on writing a review on Going Medieval for a while, as this is an early access game i like to see where the development is going and how the Developers are with regards to progress and community interaction. From what i have seen i think the game is going in the right direction. I also believe the devs listen to the community and that is effecting the developing of the game which i believe is a positive thing.

As the game stands it think it is worth the price and can be replayed if you like the idea of building a castle and testing the defences then this the game for you. There is definitely room for improvement in some areas of the games but as this is early access i would expect them to be worked on in the future.

The fact that this game is still in early access astounds me, now let me explan i have had the game since 2019 and the amount of content that has been released since then i impressive and credit to a dev team that truely are committed to making a gaming and truely respecting early access by the game being playable through most of if not all of it! then there is the modding community wow they have really helped this game become something for the city build fan i would recommend this game replay abilty is alot with the mods that are available!

The idea of creating my own prehistoric civilization really drew me in and the game did not dissapoint, granted their are some querks that are a bit frustrating and i would like to see some more autmoation with resource gathering. The building takes a little getting used to but on the plus side the opitions it offers you are a big plus. I even did a lets play on it check it out and make your mind up, i would recommend the game as i write this modder are getting more active and making the game even more fun!

This game i have an infinity for i love the style i just wish there was more content but saying that the dev stuck to their guns and i would say this is a well made game the modding communty have helped this game alot as which i always feel is a good measure of a game. i would reccomend the game it has a resonable replayabilty to it with mods as you can get some decent challanges like a 1000 population challange and some series OP raider ones which are possible with practice if you dont me check out my vid

for all your city builder it is limited but worth a look, but all in all i would recommend this game you will probably sink 100hrs into it and then move on to modded scenarios that's what i did!

So i like this game it is relatively simple but has a nostalgic feel to it for games i played in the past. I would recommend this game it in its current state but what I really like about the dev is that they seem to be listening to the community and have not given up development on the game yet.

I feel like it is important to point that this game this is made by solo dev, who has been great at interacting with everyone in discord and is willing to listen. Now those of us that have dipped into the early access games will know that this is something to cherish lol.

Tower defence - The towers have this kinda Age of Empires feel to them this brings back that old nostalgia i love that! There also is an Arachnophobia mode this is something i recommend you play i wont tell you why, just trust me it is worth it! The enemy ramp up nicely giving a good amount of failure and felt to me like fun Gameplay

City building - I am a huge fan of city builders so this i was interested in, i like the direction that has been taken with this you will have to manage workers, resources, well being, food and more. This creates its own challenge and when added to the tower defence aspect i feel works well!

Overall the game has a great foundation and is playable, repayable and has multiple levels not to mention that it is really enjoyable as is. I do feel that it is also a great foundation for the dev to expand on if the game gets enough support!

I thought this was going to match KSP or even improve on it, i was wrong this game just feels like a step backwards!! lets just say design and build is very loose term in this game and if you are a ksp fan then i am afraid this will probably not be the game for you.

Pros

the space race concept and how you get mission through the research that can send your agency in a direction

Cons

-Base construction is a puzzle game
-Rocket construct only prefab rockets no freedom to design
-Rocket lunch is a dice role where you can increase you chance of success
-The mini games which don't really have anything to do with space are really weird. (They are just puzzle games and you will experience them alot cause they happen when you orbit, crew mission, landing ect pretty much every mission i did seem to have them)

In all honest i think the game, has a audience but they are misleading people with the tags i would say this is a adventure puzzle game remove simulation and strategy and let people know what the game really is!

I have played through this a few times now and so far i seem to be have top faced different situations in each time. I will say that i can be a tense experience when you have alarms sounding all around and you cant see as your lights no longer work.

I think this game is well worth the price even though it is in early access some thing i have notice as well is that the dev has been pretty active on the discord group.

Oh one last thing try a party game with a friend. I found at lot of fun and we are still talking after he was response for my end!

How to put, so the game has alot of potential! I think it will be early access for a while as there are quite a few quirks in the game at the moment, however there have not been to many game breaking bugs for me, i think it is worth purchasing as it is at the moment with a eye on the future the devs seem to listen to feedback and as a result the changes seem to positive and the direction the game is going in according to the road map ( https://trello.com/b/0haBaHmz/soviet-republic-roadmap ) it could turn out to be one of the best.
