I’ve been playing 7 Days to Die for over 1,500 hours, right from Kickstarter and throughout Early Access, and I still love what this game can do. The world is vast, the survival mechanics are solid, and the moments I’ve shared with friends feel genuinely memorable.

Lately, however, it’s been hard to see that same excitement reflected in the direction the developers have taken. The Fun Pimps have invested years of work into the title, which deserves acknowledgment. Yet many updates seem misaligned with what the community actually wants, and feedback from long‑time players often feels ignored. This disconnect is frustrating because the game still holds so much potential.

Unlike some others I’m not against cosmetic skins; I understand that a one‑time purchase can’t support endless development. Still, I think looking at titles like Rust or Unturned, there are better revenue models that could sustain ongoing improvements rather than just 3 boring cosmetic DLCs that caused the removal of clothes.

The recent “Survival Revival” update gives me hope that things might start moving in the right direction, but it’s just a first step. I’d love to see more focus on core gameplay enhancements and clearer communication about future plans.

If the dev team can listen more closely to player feedback and prioritize the aspects of the game that bring people joy, I believe 7 Days to Die can regain its former excitement and have a bright future, and my review will be updated accordingly.

I pirated the game, played it in full, then bought the Captain's Edition of this game at full price and was forced to sit in the main menu for 5 minutes in order to write a review. 😝

Let's start with some of the drawbacks. The game could use some more polishing—the animations aren't always perfect, and overall performance is lacking.

However, these drawbacks did not detract from my experience. This game offers the best Star Trek story I've encountered since Star Trek Voyager. Unlike the mess of modern Star Trek, this game returns to the core concept of exploring strange new worlds. I loved how it directly ties into an episode of Star Trek TNG. We need more of this type of Star Trek, and for that reason, I found the game well worth its full price! I hope we'll get more of it!

I bought this because I absolutely loved Mafia II, but this is nothing like it. The sole fact that it took me over 2 years to finish this game should already tell you a lot about it. I tried so many times but quit everytime, the game is way too long, lacks a proper and interesting story and is way to repetetive, meaning you end up doing the same thing over and over again, and it's very obvious. It was absolutely not worth my money.

When I began playing this game I highly underrated it, thought it would be boring and a dissapointment, but I was very wrong, and in my opinion, this game has even surpassed both The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, games I like very much as well. If you are a fan of Game of Thrones, this game is a must-play to learn about two houses you haven't heard of in the show (but very well exist). My only frustration, and in this game it was much more a frustration than in TWD and TWAU, is the lack of choices that affect the story. I am looking forward to a potential Season 2, which I hope will happen someday.

The Wolf Among Us is one of the best games developed by Telltale Games. The only downside I've found is that it hasn't gotten a sequel yet, but I'm very glad that one is in the making!

It's one of the best, if not the best, storyline games I've ever played. The story is simply amazing, and you really get attached to the characters and feel connected to them. I personally do not recommend the DLC for it as they do not really include that much storyline, and are mostly arcade missions, but I do recommend this game, even at it's full price!

Let me start out by saying that in general I love The Walking Dead, both the main games and the show. I'm also in love with these Telltale storyline games where you make choices. I however, kept avoiding this game for a long time even though I bought the main games instantly when they became available. This game in fact it never even made it onto my wishlist. But when it appeared in the Telltale Humble Bundle I still decided to check this out along with some other games.

I found this game to be VERY short and definely not worth it to me when looking at a fullprice-per-hour ratio. I also found it very hard to connect to the characters, during the finale of the last episode I felt a sparkly connection, but during the rest of the game it was at a minimum if present at all and it was bad compared to other Telltale stories. The choices were illogical and did not impact anything. At times during this game I was genuinely bored while playing this game.

I just can't recommend this game, I wish they had saved the time, effort and funding of this game for something else. If you can get it as part of a future Telltale Bundle then perhaps you should get it, but the game is not worth it on it's own, and especially not at it's full price.
