1 hour in and I can confidently say this is the best login screen simulator of 2024

The amount of content in this game in just it's "early access" version is insane. The only thing missing is some art for a couple of characters and some trinkets and icons, but that hardly influences gameplay.

Speaking of which, the gameplay is a lot more dynamic than the previous itteration, which was already more than enough entertaining, the reworked and new systems for picking your boons and leveling up your character, the option of a surface and hell path, the way you expand your encampment and get stronger through so many different way I don't want to spoil... it all feels amazing.

Me and my girlfriend enjoyed Hades I a lot and a bit part of it was the story and characters. I'm glad to see it stayed on par. I do think the story of the last part was more interesting just from the perspective of Zagreus being better, but that's just personal preference.

10/10, the farther I go in the game the more I can tell the thought, effort and game design experience that went into it. The progression and unique systems break up the game just enough for it to be refreshing and not get stale. If you want it polished, wait for the full release, but if I had to buy it again full price I would.

Absolutely stellar. Recomend buying base game and buying the dlcs one by one if you enjoy the game.

Great game with an absolutely marvelous and dedicated development team. A staple of how early access and game development can be done right.

A modern masterpiece competing in an oversaturated market.
Pros:
-Incredible art and music.
-Some of the best gameplay mechanics I've seen.
-Simple but entrancing combat that looks easy but is hard to master.
-Lots of exploration and surprises. I've sunk 70 hours into my playtrough and I still haven't completed all of it.
-The backtracking is sublimely subtle.
-Free expansion 3 coming out sometime. Hype for the next month or two.

Cons:
-If you aren't used to the game type it'll seem confusing, frustrating and you might get lost a lot. I'm sure you'll learn.
-The lore is hidden, cryptic and fragmented over the world. Be prepared to search for videos explaining it.
-Be prepared to redo a lot of bosses or areas. You're going to die.

This game is straight up awesome. Nice representation of something not everyone knows, entertaining too, and a lot of possibilities in the future. Simple, deep, slightly arcade-ish, but still good.

This game is great in many ways, but it still feels limited because of the moonlord being the last boss for now. I hope they add more in the future, as I'd love to see this game have more stuff to do.
