Very sad, Just take note.
You need a rockstar account to play this single player game,
and cause i dont have access to my account linked to steam, i cant play.

Amazing, Rockstar customer service has zero interest in helping.

As hyped as the game is,
It is unfortunately quite disappointing.
Basically it is a 1 step forward, 2 steps back kind of situation.
I would only recommend getting this if you want to play multiplayer, or when they release or update the content in a year or 2. Anyway the pre-order stuff is locked as of now so the deluxe version is super NOT worth.

Coming from the standpoint of the 1st game, that although dated, feels more smooth and has much more fun value for it.

The problems:
Stamina, ridiculously low, even as you level up, so you are locked into running and dancing battle always.
The skilltree is not as diverse, not motivating enough to level up, just the usual basic skills but locked even further up the skill tree, also level 15 is max as of now, what.
Animations, when you pick stuff up, and you are forced to hold the key, if you let go half way, you have to wait a good while for the animation to complete before retrying, why not just a single click key, this is something you gotta do the whole game by the way, very unmotivating for looting.
Clipping, when you are too close to stuff, your character does stuff automatically you don't want to like moving through gaps or vaulting which inturn gets you killed at critical moments.
On the topic of animation and clipping, zombies stunlock you constantly, and if you have no knife you are done, which are single use items by the way, if you are trying to hit zombies in the middle of lunging you get trapped in the grab animation,
if you dodge zombies in the middle of lunging you get trapped in the grab animation, so basically goes back to kiting combat, does not feel fluid.
Dodging on rooftops, as the dodge is quit far, makes you fall off buildings.
Power level, I dont get why people are obsessed with this, this isnt destiny, and breakpoint did it and failed, your 2nd game did it and failed, while not the end of the world, its not fun when you shoot or smack a zombie in the head multiple times and they dont die.

These are all stupid feature that came with the 2nd game, and really isnt any fun at all.
Other than those the game is 10/10 on all other aspects, however those are major game systems that make it feel super clunky.

The devs could perhaps pull a dying light 2 and update this game to make it much better, but until then, i would avoid it honestly.

Unplayable right now.
The game currently hangs your PC, as in not the game, but your PC Freezes up.
May freeze for few seconds or with a 50% chance it will perma freeze, requiring a full reboot.

IF you freeze i multiplayer you get booted from a friends game.

Wait for fixes before buying the game!

The game is great fun, however there are concepts that kill the game.
But basically if you want to buy the game, DO NOT GET THE DELUXE EDITION.

Positives:
- Gameplay loop is amazing, you are in anthem suits, playing monster hunter.
- Smooth launch, 0 gamebreaking bugs, only encountered 1 where i can't get boss loot.
- Mech customization, as weapons and items are RNG, you will be farming for the best loot. And if the loots of your suit aren't to your likeing, you can tweak them.
- Abilities are fun, can be leveled up, weapon mastery, choose the skills you want.
- Multiplayer, as they promised is really great, you have some abilities to support oneanother.
- You can either have a dog or cat at base.

Negatives:
- Short main story, can be completed in a day.
- Do not get deluxe edition, the DLCs are worthless, due to the price, as you can get everything ingame, and cosmetics are useless, due to the mutations not allowing you to even see your body.
- Annoying bosses, not talking about difficulty, there are difficult bosses which are challenging and fun, which is most of the larger ones, now the small bosses, are not difficult, but super annoying to fight, they do stupidly unfair moves which just delay or piss you off, like running super fast in circles, become immune to damage, spam abilities, even just run off and hide behind the MAP RESTRICTION, meaning you cannot hit them when you're suppose to.
- Multiplayer is not smooth, in the sense that the joining party has to hold a button to agree to everything, super annoying for cutscenes, for traveling, for missions, this is coupled with UI animations, making the game feel sluggish when playing multiplayer, they just need to change it to a single click agree.

No point to get this DLC, The weapons are useful only for the start of the game.
But you can quickly find better stuff.

Then come the worst part, they can't be sold and clog up your inventory.

Bought the Deluxe edition, for the extra goodies.
Yet i completed the game and still do not have access to these outfits, great.
So there really isn't a point to buying any DLCs.

Phenomenal gameplay. Coop play.Difficulty is fair, and very highly skill based.
3 or 5 players depending on gamemode.

As fun and addicting the game is, season 6 and still you experience major issues.
Random massive lag spikes, the game hanging on loading screens, that kind of thing.

OVERVIEW
After Ranting, but somehow still going back to the game, I am prompted to redo my review as i hope the game succeeds.

Basically this is a New Singleplayer, Open world RPG, its fun but has its problems.
It is a grounded medieval monster slaying, quest completing game, that has Dragons Dogma Plot and features.
There isn't really any comparisons out there, so its very unique.

However if you like the first game, you may not like the second game.

Its more like its own game altogether, because while there are many new features to make things exciting, they somehow removed many old features which make the game fun.

POSITIVES
  • Level Cap is reported to be 999, and not stuck on a class trying to Minmax.

  • Combat is Ok, Skills are great to use and hit feedback is good, though not without its faults

  • Quest are engaging, not just kill or fetch quest, many variations, some quest have various methods of completion.

  • World is beautiful to explore, few different regions, tons of items to find, it is rewarding for exploration, monsters are dynamic and respawn in 1-2 days. Although, is probably only slightly bigger then the last game.

  • Player customization is improved upon the last game, Weight, height, limb reach, are all important, and if you want to create an abomination you still can.

  • Graphics, probably the best part of the game, is amazing.

  • Upgrades, are greatly improved. As you can now get different upgrade values from different merchant locations, which gives great personalization for the player.

  • Camping feature is interesting, and the cooking cutscene is just amazing, mouthwatering.

NEGATIVES
  • The Armor customization has been reduced to 1 top and 1 bottom armor, many of them look good, but is a HUGE stepdown from the 1st game, being able to mix 2 tops and 2 bottoms for style.
As values of armor don't feel balanced, so you only progress and get better armor and all old armor is probably ignored or discarded
On top of that you can equip one helmet gear, a mask gear, a cloak gear, and 2 rings.

  • Weapons while they look great, Comparing to the first game, there is maybe a handful more of weapon variations, however they are still forced progressive, meaning you probably will be stuck using the best weapon once you get it. Sad that the good looking weapons become for show.

  • Pawns, have become a huge pain in the ASS, the nice thing is that you can command them to lead you to objectives, but everything new is BAD.
    1. The highfive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, cool the 1st few times, but the problem is, it is a FORCED animation that happens after EVERY BATTLE, big or small. As long as you walk pass your pawn after a small fight, you are stuck doing that animation which is extremely annoying after doing it HUNDREDS of times, when you are trying to rush or pick up stuff.
    2. The roaming pawns ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, Byfar the most immersion breaking thing, everytime you walk pass a random roaming pawn, you are FORCED to talk to them. If you talk to them before they talk to you, and close dialog, you are still FORCED to talk to them AGAIN as per their coding.
    3. They die randomly at heights or bridges

  • Healing is a hit or miss, you no longer recover full health with healing items, and have to sleep at Inns or Camps. Some may like or hate this as it does make you feel the weight of each battle, but the problem comes when:
    1. Inns cost 1000 - 9999 to sleep for a night, ridiculous prices, so much for realism.
    2. Camps, Require Campkits, which are rare pickups, and cost 7kg to carry.
    3. Quick healing hotkey, While good to have, you cannot assign what to use, and it uses the rarest items 1st.

  • Movement, looks really good, BUT does not feel responsive.
Supposedly it is like Monsterhunter, except that its not. Its like you are a stiff statue, not a human being.
In the old game you can atleast sprint fast in directions, or jump roll to dodge things.
While in this game, you cant do anything without a slow startup, meaning unless you want to take damage or die, let your pawns do everything.

  • FALLING, is going to piss you off, everything that looks jumpable is not, you fall off a table you die.
The problem comes when your character slips on everything at the wrong time.
You walk on a log or a bridge, opps you fall off like a small cliff and die.
You are running away from monsters and WANT to get off a cliff, NO lets make your character stop at the edge and stagger.

  • Inventory, while loading screens are much better compared to DD1, a ton of features removed to make it the most painful thing to access.
Lets say you want to change armor:
you have to talk to a inn keeper, go through dialog, select the inventory feature, then withdraw feature, then close the menu, then the close the dialog (Of which you have to click, and cannot press esc) THEN open your menu, wait for a second for the menu to open, click equipment, then go through the body part you want to change, then click for a menu, THEN Click equip. ONLY After you unequip that ♥♥♥♥, then you have to dialog the keeper and go through all that ♥♥♥♥ again to deposit the armor.
Yap, all that for changing armor, thats not the worst thing?! You can't sell items from your storage, and once you hit 99, they tell you something is full, right, What is full? you have to go through different item to see what is full.

  • The Sphinx, can eat ♥♥♥♥. It was the one of the most hyped features of the game.
It is utterly disappointing, as riddles are not riddles. they are a bunch of difficult side missions with no room for error. If you play without a guide, they are not satisfiying to solve, cos there is nothing to solve, you don't feel like you outsmart the sphinx.

  • Enemy variety is Meh, Not diverse enough for a game of this scale.
No more hydra and cockatoo, only new enemies are the Dullahan, Medusa, Minotaur

  • Fast travel system is Meh, not many locations to use oxcart to. And they better add Eternal ferrystone. Because enemies dont respawn in the same day, meaning you have to walk back and forth doing nothing.

  • No more difficulty options, which previously allowed you to get harder enemies and more gold/exp

  • No more using 2 weapons, Unless you are the Disappointing warfarer, which is stuck with 3 skills of a single class, even when using other weapons.

  • The studdering, i put this last on the list, as while it is bad, i don't think is as bad as people complain it is, the gameplay is a more dire issue.
Studdering is the worst in the main town, fps drops to extremely poor rates, though still playable, ofcourse this is based on the player's CPU, NOT graphics card. So each play may have a different experience, that said it is the PC version that has this issue, and no matter what setup you may have, you will still get studdering as of now.

CONCLUSION
One thing you cant deny, is that the game looks really amazing.
So much at the cost of shuddering, performance, gameplay.
While still fun, It is INCREDIBLY frustrating to play and does not feel worth it for a hundred bucks. Incredibly disappointing, as it feels like alot of their effort is poured into marketing, and micro transactions, not perfecting the game.

  • Dont' get deluxe edition, every deluxe time apart from the music and golden weapons can be gotten ingame, and you will never use the golden weapons after you get to town.
  • REMEMBER or notedown your first seeker token, due to the sphinx.
  • Start with Thief or Knight, only then you will survive and have fun, then stick with Thief, Mystic spellhand or Warfarer
  • Unfortunately you have to wait for many updates for the game to perhaps have some hope.
