Project Zomboid is and has been a game that had immense amounts of potential. Trust me I've been playing it since the tech-demo! And quite frankly that's why I do not reccomend it. Let me put into perspective what they did with the game in reference to my lifetime. When I first played PZ I was in the second grade, I could hardly read. Now I'm in the second year of University majoring in Arts & Humanities. In the span of my concious lifetime these are what the devs added to the game:
- When I finished elementary school the game got highlighted and put on steam.
- In my first year of middle-school they add the bare wilderness survival necessities with the MP, which they would take out and reintroduce a few times.
- NOTHING INTRESTING IS ADDED UNTILL MY LAST YEAR OF MIDDLE SCHOOL.
- Oh hey they added hot wheels to the game neat.
- "Radio silence for 2 years"
- They did an animation haul when I was preparing for my Uni exam. Looking back, which animations? I could barely read when I started playing the game now I can ace whole exams meanwhile when my character "rests" in a chair he just awkwardly stands up as he did aaaaaalll the way back when I couldn't read.
- When I started working on my major the devs roll-out this larger than life grandiose roadmap that will add NPC's and Animals and god forbid A NEW CRAFTING SYSTEM??
- It gets delayed
- Been waiting for a decent ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ update for litterally my entire life.

My point being, I have witnessed the "growth" of this game throughout most of my lifetime. I watched then take a whole ass year to implement a new inventory system which was adding a box on top of the UI. The devs should just get their ♥♥♥♥ together, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ enrolled in one of the top 5 universities of my country meanwhile these guys spent 12 years on this game to add what? Non-existant new animations and hot wheels?

I do love the game, I really do but it's just so...

As an adamant enjoyer of the first game. I sadly can not recomend the second. First of all, one thing that stuck out to me was the fact that the game was soooo much easier. Not only in content (i.e. the knight appearing a lot more often, the very easy ways to get massive amounts of golden acorns etc.) but in achievements as well. I found myself 100% done with the achievements as I'm writing this. It took me nearly ten hours in the first game, this one just took me about three and a half hours.
The leveling is also quite faster than the original, I got to level 70 a lot faster than the first. For me these facts make the game less rewarding and fun. If I can just sleep and collect some massive amount of resources and level up on rapid fire I just don't get enjoyment out of it. The new tree is surprisingly ugly in my opinion and serves as nothing but an eye sore. And lastly the game still has some of the issues I had with the first one, most importantly the piling of crops and produce (Though this is somewhat countered in the mid to late game"

As for what the game improved upon. The expansin of the specials segment was a very cute improvement. Also the aquaculture and fishing part of the game had quite a lot of potential. Likewise an insect collection could have been made with different types of bugs than just butterflies and ladybugs.

Overall, the game was definetly not worth the wait or the price. My Final score is 2/10

Yeah I play NSFW games on my main account, problem?

My eyes strained for two days because of the amount of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ blinding flashes in the game. Besides my astigmatizm getting worse, the game itself sucks; to summarize:

In terms of game design, we have no game design.

The game does have a cute aesthetic and wonderfull cocnept but it is littered with bugs. Here's a list of bugs i've encountered before my progress was stopped by yet another bug:
- The humans sit around behind rocks when they are supposed to attack on a scripted event.
- The charge attack just sometimes refuses to work as an attack at all and you just skim past the humans.
- Humans get bugged out of the map or do not count as killed and you can't progress through certain areas without reloading.

Doesn't recognize the d-pad outside of cutscenes, can't play the game..

Got married, had kids, turned kids into birds, divorced wife, had a gay marriage.

It's a really great and challenging game and sometimes even unfair.But the enviroments,creatures and mechanics that the game brings to the table combined with the always ongoing ecosystem it can be played for hours without even doing the story.However after playing for a while you can get bored of doing the same things or using the same strategies the game did add a hardmode but there is so much to it and it is a time limited thing (This can be chaged by mods) and because of this it kind of lacks in content but it's worth playing for what it is.

The game loves to corrupt saves.I've lost two colonies that i had worked hard on one of them i spent 11 hours the other was 26 hours.I've lost 37 hours of building and progress so will you.

Better than Fallout 4.
