Hey there. I read your Iconoclasts review, and my attention was drawn to the comment of how killing the "god" greatly changes the world in a heartbeat. That is actually a longstanding tradition of fantasy novels, such as Uprooted, Mistborn, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, and The Stone Sky, to name a few not-so-long-ago examples. Maybe it could have been done better - that boss had a kinda weird, totally-not-foreshadowed character design - but that's where the idea comes from. I rather liked that nod to the fantasy canon.
