5 hours in, I am quite happy with what it is so far.

Blippo+ is really a lot of fun if you enjoy unconventional storytelling. The “shows” are mastercrafted to seem like the VHS tapes left too long in an interdimensional attic.

It is not interactive enough for me to be comfortable calling it a “video game”, but for those looking for a different experience that advances the medium and pushes the limits of weird, Blippo+ is must-watch TV.

Game is totally borked at the moment. Can't actually play without a bricked save file upon exit.

I don't usually write game reviews, but I really, really wanted to contribute to the Overwhelmingly Positive rating that this game totally deserves. Yakuza: LaD employs a hybrid turn-based and QTE combat system that makes fighting feel less boring than in a normal turn-based RPG, and less repetitive than the button-mashing contest of the previous Yakuza games.

The scenery and atmosphere of the game is better than ever, bringing the setting into 2019 without sacrificing an ounce of flavor or style. The characters, now middle-aged and weathered, are written incredibly well, and save for some dialogue wonkiness, the story is captivating.

The verdict on Yakuza: Like a Dragon is simple - Ryu Ga Gotoku cut out what didn't work, and preserved what made the series so special. This is the best Yakuza game to date in my opinion.
