It's an instant favorite. A must-play for Souls and Tenchu fans.

There's a steep learning curve for previous souls players and you need to unlearn that dash/block muscle memory.

It's not as difficult as what most people and gaming media make it out to be. It's challenging.

Lack of multiplayer is the only bad thing about it and kind of affects long-term replay but the story is more personal so it's understandable.

One of the most fun games I've ever played. An instant classic to an already classic game. If you've ever wanted to feel what it's like to be a space smuggler, then this game is for you.

I had a good, long thought about this review, and unfortunately, I can't recommend the game as it is. As many have pointed out, the game seems to have been rushed. Missing features, size inconsistencies, and very flat park management make it an easy and tedious game - as chimerical as it sounds.

The game is beautiful and I legitimately enjoyed it, but there are a lot of things that ruin the experience for me. I'll admit, the game has probably one of the most beautifully rendered dinosaurs in modern video games, but they are all just for show.

My main issue are the dinosaurs. They are all basic creatures with rudimentary A.I., and despite the seemingly in-depth statistics each one has, they don't enhance the behaviour of the dinosaurs at all. In fact, these make some of the dinosaurs near-impossible to work with. It's especially jarring if you've played Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis. The dinosaur A.I. in that game is what many people call "primitive", but it managed to make the dinosaurs feel fleshed out and realistic.

If you're looking for a "simple" dinosaur-park-management and look at beautifully rendered dinosaurs, then this is the game for you. If what you're looking for is something similar to Operation Genesis - a game where you can replicate the paleoecology of the dinosaurs, then this isn't it for you.

To Frontier Developments, good job on the game. I really hope the Fallen Kingdom update isn't the last we'll get from this game. You all have made a promising game and it has a good foundation for something more. I don't have any regrets purchasing this game, but as it stands, I can't recommend it yet.

The retro style and sci-fi mixed with a dab of fantasy is what drew me to this game. I wasn't expecting such a fast-paced combat, particularly in some areas where there's a noticeable difficulty spike. The bosses remind me of games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne - bosses that you really have to learn and create strategies to beat.

I rate it a 9/10. It's worth buying at full price if you want games that have that nostalgic retro feel. It's a bit short though (for me at least). Hopefully they'll add more content like a DLC or a sequel.
