Very fun with friends. Wouldn't recommend for solo play or online with randoms.

Map design kind of sucks and you just get killed by third parties everytime you take a fight.

Most abilities are VERY underwhelming and the cool guns are usually the worst.

They basically made a pretty creative shooter and then toned down all the creative bits so that it feels more like a generic shooter.

The movement is pretty good, though, with all the climbing, vaulting, sliding and grappling.

By the way, why are you reading this? It's a free game, so just see it for yourself.

RNG + imbalance. Not worth (any more of) my time.

Early Access Review
Gets boring pretty fast. I haven't played many roguelikes, but I expected a bit more variety in enemies, rooms and "viable" power ups. Yes, there's almost infinite possibilities for combining boons from different gods, but a lot of those combos aren't really good, so you're always hoping for a few boons and upgrades to show up every run.

The game is also kind of easy and although you can increase the difficulty via a few mechanics, it's still very boring to keep repeating the same thing with tiny differences each time. I think it's a good game if you enjoy grinding endlessly and aren't really bothered by SLOWLY getting stronger while fighting the same enemies every 10 to 30 minutes. The story is cool, but also irrelevant (you can probably skip every dialogue and still understand the game just fine).

All in all, I find it hard to justify going back to the game at this point and even "major" updates haven't improved that feeling by more than a couple runs for me. Maybe I'm just not the target audience for roguelike games, so if you really enjoy those and have dozens (maybe hundreds) of hours to spare, I imagine this would be a pretty good game for you.

The more you play, the worse you feel.

This game was supposed to be good, but the community won't allow it, so at least play with friends, otherwise you'll just hate yourself more and more.
