TL;NGR (Too Long; Not Gonna Read): Based on my experience so far, I think Crimson Desert is receiving unfair criticism just because it takes people one step out of their comfort zones while it will actually be a breath of fresh air for today's open-world games, and an injustice is being done to the game with comments like the controls are unplayable and the game is impossibly hard. It looks like the game will offer us a beautiful experience where we can step into its world and get lost in it, with far more things to explore than we have ever seen before.

First of all, nobody needs a reason to not like a game; if you say you don't like it, you are right, it's as simple as that. But I think people are once again acting like a herd and doing a huge injustice to Crimson Desert.

As far as I've seen for now, the game's story isn't going very well( I am at the beginning, and neither Kliff nor I know what the purpose of our lives is ), but just as we don't play legendary games like Zelda BOTW, TOTK based on their stories and don't go 'this game is really bad, it sucks,' we shouldn't do that for Crimson Desert either, because that's not what the game promises anyway, or just as we don't say how Elden Ring got GOTY against God of War Ragnarok with such a bad story, I think we shouldn't say that to this game either.

Moving on, my mind might change in the future of course, but up to the part I played, I can clearly say that all those criticisms saying the controls are too hard and unplayable, especially at the beginning, are a huge exaggeration. Are you using a PS controller? You can interact with the environment by pressing the L1 button.
Are you using an Xbox controller? You can interact with the environment by pressing Lb. I couldn't understand what is hard about this point; it's just that you have to press the L1 or Lb button a lot, which yes of course, is an unpleasant situation and maybe a solution should be thought of, but due to the lack of buttons on the controllers and the tons of things the game offers us this situation feels a bit natural to me. I think this situation shouldn't be called hard: 'I'm going to chop a tree, I need to take an axe in my hand and I have to aim at where I'll hit the tree with a blue bead using Lb/L1 and hit it like that.' At this point, saying the controls are hard and giving an example like this seems a bit funny to me;

The actual things that need to be criticized and quickly fixed are things we can call quality of life, in my opinion. If you want to see the quests in the game, you open the settings or the tab the game designed for us, and go to where the quests are there, and from there you get to where the relevant quests are, and from there we can find the quest we want, you have to go through 3-4 tabs, or did you acquire something readable? Go through 2-3 tabs, find the latest thing you got by its name from an interface where it's not clear what is read or unread, then read it, why am I struggling this much? I can say that the game should mainly solve these kinds of situations that don't have much to do directly with the gameplay but tire us out, it should be more player-friendly. The controls are a bit more unconventional and it's definitely not very nice that you need to press L1/Lb at many points(Why don't we have quick save? Let me press 4 times to Lb and quick save the game lol), though the game does mention at the beginning that you have to press this button. Because of this, even though the controls are again not very user-friendly, this never makes them bad enough to make you say 'these controls destroyed the game, this game is unplayable, how bad is this, it's too hard, it can't be played.'

Puzzles, I think puzzles aren't as hard as exaggerated. The main problem with the puzzles in my opinion is, if you've played tabletop RPGs, you're familiar with experiencing moments where it's hard to match what you are told with the environment while in a free area. I mean, sometimes it might not be fully understood what the puzzles want, I think this is an issue but it's not as hard as exaggerated, it's just that they didn't take a path like supposedly throwing a puzzle in front of you and saying 'this spot is glowing directly, throw that there, but after a certain amount of time the game also gave a hint saying 'you should do this' in my experience.

Optimization is quite successful according to my experience, I'm saying this because I got much better performance at 4K native max settings than in many other games, which additionally impressed me despite all these particle effects and massive render area.

The world is very enjoyable as far as I've seen, even if there aren't a ton of options, being able to interact with almost everyone, many people having their own little events going on, and as a Turk, being able to pick up, pet, and yoink cats are very delightful things. I think the game tried to offer a lot of things and as far as I've seen for now, it has managed to pull it off.
My experience so far is roughly like this, my mind might change in the future, but I think approaching the game with the route of ' You watch a video / read a review and see people saying the game is too hard -> say, oh the game is too hard -> then, my stamina ran out while climbing a wall and I fell / I entered the boss fight at whatever hour with 0 upgrades and 0 changes and died (I haven't even used health regeneration, heals etc. in the game yet, I haven't even needed to)/ I could not beat a boss while I'm holding kitty in my hand(boooo)-> they were saying it's hard, it was obvious it would be like this anyway -> this game is so bad, it doesn't even have a story, you can't even climb walls, it's unplayable' will result in nothing but ruining your own enjoyment, beyond the game being good or bad. As they say, The best review is one's own review. I am going back to Crimson Desert, have fun everyone.
