Another Edit: I have finally been able to completely upgrade my system

Game runs perfectly fine on high settings now and I am able to enjoy the atmosphere of the game much more easily. I am loving the direction this game is going, with leaning into the investigation aspect of learning background and doing research to find out where to investigate on site.

After watching several videos of gameplay I decided to purchase this game. I really like the concept of doing a realistic Paranormal Investigation. The professional feeling pre-job briefings and then the slow build up of tension while working towards getting the more concrete evidence.

I thought I could squeak by with the spec requirements, unfortunately my current setup can't give a solid fps, in the game's current state. I look forward to when I can keep a frame rate above 25ish, either through game optimization, or I upgrade to less of a potato.

Leaving a positive review, to combat a few reviews that didn't seem to know what kind of game they were buying into, but I recommend waiting for more stable builds if you are on an older PC.

Great core gameplay with updates adding in more variation in the form of maps, ghosts and eventually effects for low sanity down the line.

Atmosphere and tension are the primary ways the scares work, jump scares are rare and feel natural rather than forced at every door opening or corner turn. I feel if you look into how the ghosts work too much it'll ruin the game and make things too predicable, and therefore not scary.

So be careful metagamers :p

A spooky good time if you have people to play with.
