I'm not well versed in hunting games in general, but I'm loving this one. From the point of view of someone that usually plays FPS and RPG, this is just the change of pace I needed. It provides a nice, relaxing escape from the world in general, a way to unwind from a long day of work without the pressure of K/D ratios, or trying to get the latest and greatest loot.

Excellent game to unwind after work. I love playing with the benchmarks after changing components and seeing what the machine will look like after finishing the build.

Why did I pay when everyone now gets it free? I prefered H1Z1, but with paying for it and then it being free was a kick in the face that is driving mee to PUBG and Fortnite based on principal alone. Great job Daybreak on burning a paying supporter.

The video on the store page looks like a great game. I couldn't wait to play it once I downloaded it. Unfortunately, for me at least, this game only serves as a tool of frustration. I love the premise, and perhaps could enjoy the game if I could actually survive long enough to build even the simplest of tools before being killed by the veterans of the game. While it's true, I only have a little over 6 hours of play time, record survival time being just under 6 minutes on official servers, it ends up feeling like the time I put in is forever. Usually I'll get killed running naked with a rock and torch a couple times, move on to a different game, try again with same results and then uninstall for a few weeks.

Perhaps I wouldn't regret this purchase so much if noobs (me at least) had some chance to get into the game before feeling nothing but frustration and defeat.

I will keep trying to get somewhere in this one with hopes of maybe getting a chance / break, perhaps then I will at least get my money's worth of enjoyment.
