I'm VERY BAD at this game but I LOVE IT and it's highly addicting. I've gotten it as a present for multiple friends, and have purchased a decent amount of DLC for it. I highly recommend it, but if you get scared easily or have high anxiety maybe take it slowly. Or just play as the killer?
