One of the standout features of "Gone Home" is its atmospheric design. The attention to detail in recreating a '90s setting immerses players in the era, making the house feel like a time capsule waiting to be explored. The lighting and sound design further enhance the eerie ambiance, creating an atmosphere that keeps players on the edge of their seats.

(SPOILER) Skip if you are going for a blind playthrough (BEST)

You play as Kaitlin Greenbriar, returning home after a trip abroad, she find the house empty. The absence of family members raises questions and sets the stage for a mysterious and emotionally charged exploration. Through a series of notes, letters, and interactive objects, the narrative unfolds, revealing a story that touches on themes of love, identity, and acceptance.
The characters themselves are well-developed, each with their own distinct personalities and challenges. The game tackles important themes such as LGBTQ+ representation and the complexities of family dynamics, providing a refreshing and progressive perspective.


Highly recommend going through this game blind.
