This laptop from the early 00's was my first foray into computing in general and therefore holds a lot of sentimental value. Although this one has a Chicony keyboard, it still feels miles better than the keyboards we have in today's laptops. The screen isn't remarkable by today's standards - it's certainly lost a bit of brightness over the years, but it's still serviceable. The Battery is as good as dead, will only be used with wall power if needed. Wanted to install a 32-bit Linux distro first, but then I remembered that this machine was made for Windows XP, and went with SP3 and modern software

Lenovo ThinkPad T480s - Type 20L7 (2018)
OS: Fedora 43 (KDE Plasma)
CPU: Intel i5-8250U (4C/8T)
GPU: Intel UHD 630
Screen: 16:9 1920x1080 FHD IPS
RAM: 1 x 8 GB DDR4 (soldered)
Storage: 512 GB NVMe SSD

Continuing this addiction towards ThinkPads: Not long after the R52, I got myself an out-of lease/used T480s as I really wanted to own and use a sleek ThinkPad that's up to the task running modern OSes, 'cause let's be honest, the R52 just doesn't really cut it anymore. It's keyboard is remarkably good to type on for being a chiclet-type keyboard. The T480s surely isn't a power house, but it's speedy enough for my daily browsing tasks and all the background apps. As for the OS, Fedora was a clear winner here.

I really want to get my hands on a good-looking 12" X61/X61s in the future, as I really adore this model - it would complete my collection. For me, it really is peak ThinkPad.
