I'll preface this with as far as Dragon Age game goes this one is a banger.

I loved playing inquisition as well arguably was a 9/10 veilguard is a 9.5/10

Pros:
Solid gameplay
Incredible story line
Builds on the lore in a way that makes absolute sense and fully ties in stuff that was set in motion decades ago.
Combat is great and fluid
Companions are fleshed out and feel like normal people
Once you get to know Taash you can tell a lot of care went into making their character
the visuals are fantastic but. (explained in the cons)

Cons:
Every companion is a slow burn (meaning you have to get through a lot of hours before they feel authentic)
Dialogue can at some times be cringy (when it's cringe it's very very bad)
Not enough enemy types
Lack of pure brawling melee build (they all seem to involve magic for some reason)
The game lacks it's dark themes which made the series great. There are dark moments but it still feels cartoonish. The art-style doesn't help this as its feels like a Disney-ified Dragon age.


All in all this game re-ignited my love for dragon age and made me playthrough all of it again and i'm going in for my second playthrough of veilguard. For all the criticism the game had from right wing media it's a solid game, there is no DEI agency being pushed. Taash existing as a non-binary character is not politics. Yes Taash is cringe, they are suppose to be. It's basically a teenager going through a coming of age story (it does feel slightly out of place in a Dragon age game but not that much) Taash is no different then Krem or Dorian apart from the fact that their journey of self-discovery basically just started.

Play as a sexy half-elf or as a sexy dwarf or even as a sexy thiefling and go on sexy journeys with a sexy vampire, a sexy dungeon dwelling deformed elf, or even a sexy demon possessed warlock and many more.

Tried to play this game for 20 minutes... couldn't get into a game. Went on the community hub to see how many players were playing.

Someone said let's drop to school, rushed to an akm got beaten up by a pan.
Someone said let's drop in the military base, rushed to a shotgun got one tapped by a jumping fist.
Someone said let's drop in a remote ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ village with no one around rushed in the houses... no loot, went outside got ran over by a jeep.

everybody is saying that the game is bad because of the DLC. WELL THE NJUST DON'T BLODDY BUY THEM. In it self hte game is pretty decent. I am a moba player so i'm used to repetetive gameplay so it doesn't bother me that much. The asymetric concept is very well made. When you play with the monster or the hunters you feel really powerfull even if as the hunters you are pretty weak. It gives you the illusion of being in member of the expendables. I haven't played the game that much but I know that I will be able to log in more hten 200h so this is 60$ well spent. Just don't buy th dlc and then it will be worth your money. 8/10 strongly recommend

Its a fun twist on the moba genre and its perfect for casual gamers but if you are like me and like to have a competetive game then stay with dota 2 who is free. The main upside of this game is that its really easy to become good at it and the main downside is that there is not much inthe game since they went EA style and decided to give a bunch of characters as dlc
