This is the most meh recommendation i can give. It is a breakout rougelite with some okay gimmicks. If that is for you, this is possibly a fantastic purchase for you.

On the other hand there is nothing bad about this game, so i don't think this will ever be a disappointing purchase, but for some, myself included, it is nothing exceptional either.

If i had to judge Mecha Break solely on the gameplay this might be the easiest recommend of all time for me. Unfortunately the game is more than just gameplay.

Let me make it clear that every aspect of gameplay i i have tried i like and that's the 6v6 PvP and the Mashmak PvPvE mode and even the idea of bringing out loot, mods, cosmetics and premium currency from Mashmak.

Unfortunately Mecha Break is not just gameplay, there's a ton of pointless progression, from modes and features locked behind acheivement levels and an absolute slog of a grind to unlock the strikers.

The fact that a lot of progression is tied to acheivement level rather than player level is also absurd, because it makes to grind a lot longer. I have played for over 30 hours and do still not have access to the 3v3 mode because of the progression slog.

This is a beta, this version will go down which is why i believe it is important to explain the issues. However if you, reader, see this and have some interest in the game, try it out, feel the gameplay and check out the reviews for the full game. If the progression issues are dealt with at launch, this is one of the best mech games and one of the best PvP games in recent memories.

If you like grinds there is easily 1000 hours of fun in this game. If you are a completionist it reaches 1500 hours without issue.

The PC port is slightly badly made and a controller is more than recommended, but there's a fan patch that fixes the many slight issues the port has.

Besides that if you haven't heard the praise this game gets i would suggest searching for it online, but all in all this game is in my opinion a masterpiece and is without a doubt my all time favorite game. I cannot recommend it enough

At launch this game needed some love, it has gotten that love and i can now recommend it to any old Dungeon Keeper fan
