The game has finally re-released after being down for almost 2 years adding new stages, characters, cosmetics, and new micro-transaction currencies.
New stage and character designs are fantastic, however, the game feels like a nightmare to play and should not have re-released in its current state.

- Characters move so slow and are locked into animations for way too long. Some characters feel unaffected by these new changes (Superman) while the rest of the cast just feels like they are playing an entirely different game.
- You can no longer try characters before you buy them.
- Ranked is currently not out on re-release.
- All perks and characters no longer become unlocked when playing the offline version of the game, which hopefully will be changed soon as this will be a nightmare for the offline scene.
- My character just seems to dodge randomly even if I have my fingers nowhere near the dodge button (I am using a Gamecube controller, but the input software i'm using does not show me pressing the dodge button when this happens)
- They removed the gold currency entirely. Players (such as myself) who were saving gold waiting for new characters to release are punished severely.

I was extremely excited to play this game again and did not expect to be this disappointed. Multiversus has some of the most unique character design kits in any platform fighter on the market (while using IPs that people actually recognize) and it is a shame that this game has turned into what it is. It seems like Warner Brothers just wanted to find ways to monetize this game more, and to be fair the art department is killing it over there, but somehow the transition to UE5 has made the game feeling borderline unplayable. How did this game come out in this state when Player First Games has hired people from the Smash Bros. scene as 'ambassadors' just for the game to come out feeling this clunky and unplayable? There is no way that any playtesting feedback was taken into consideration and this game was probably just rushed to be re-released so Warner Bros. could make up for the disastrous Suicide Squad release earlier this year.

I will not be playing this game nor do I recommend anyone play this game until the game is severely patched to be less clunky. The game has taken multiple steps back since its beta release almost two years ago.
