Absolute 10/10. Strongest game of the year contender of this year yet.

initially, I had written a positive review for this game.
I had acknowledged there were problems, and after addressing them individually, I claimed that the game still had incredible potential and was only going to improve over time.
I was wrong.
It has been, what, 4 months since launch and while there has been promises of performance patches and optimisation. little has been done, and at this point I literally cannot run the game at all. It will keep crashing on startup (during compiling shaders). I have a £2000+ computer, with an RX 9070 XT, Ryzen 9700x, 64gb of ram and the game is installed on a Gen 5 SSD. even when I was able to run this game, I had to brute force a playable experience with FSR upscalling and frame gen, running at a mix of medium and high settings. This is not acceptable

Performance aside, Even if I were able to play the game right now, I would have very little to actually do, I am not a MH veteran, this is my first MH game, and I did enjoy playing through the main story, but since finishing all the main quests, there has been very little keeping interested.

I was so confident, during the first week of this game, that it was a solid GOTY contender. I could look past the slew of issues because on the surface, this game should have been incredible.
Now I would be surprised to see this game as a nominee.

I don't understand what all the hype is about.
I've been recommended this game quite a few times and so I've finally decided to play it.
However, to my dismay, the game turned out to be nothing but a poorly made copy of a copy; The movement in this game feels too slow, tacky and unresponsive. This alone is enough to make me want to stop playing.
Personally, I don't like battle royal games but my preferences have nothing to do with this review and I'm being completely unbiased. A game being smooth, fast and responsive is a big selling point for me and even if that means sacrificing the overall look and graphics of the game its a sacrifice that must be made

i love this game, there is nothing you cant do ... wait . no ... why cant i play online ?

its really good , but , it needs multiplayer , other than that , keep it up , amazing 4 out of 5 ( 5 if you add multiplayer 1 - 4 online
